  1. TAAron cocked his head at her. "No." "Yes, I do." TAAron's eyes widened. "...Haly?"
  2. "Yes. I do." TAAron flinched at the punch, but it seemed Malum was not letting go this time. A sharp pain pierced Haly's head, like it did when Tors had been bonding with her. A purely evil voice spoke. Oh, but I can. Goodbye, halcyon.
  3. TAAron turned to her. A flash of fear and desperation passed over his face, only to be covered once again by a stony expression.
  4. TAAron shook her off coldly. "What do you say, Finn?"
  5. "No! I..." Suddenly, TAAron went from sounding panicked to deadly serious. "I will give up my memory." I am a weapon. It is what I was created for. Lerac was spinning his dagger behind the group. Addressing the Finn, he said, "Calm yourself. We aren't offering all of it." "No," TAAron said simply. "Finn, I would like to give up my memory."
  6. Don't think of it as suicide. I'm not really a person, anyways. I'm just a weapon that failed its use. TAAron grabbed her arm. "No! No you don't!" Tors laughed sadly. You can't restrain me, Wynn. Please, tell the Finn my decision.
  7. "All you did was try to save me, Nameless. You did the best you could. It's not your fault, it's mine." Tors hummed angrily, filling the room with an earsplitting ringing noise. No. Let me do this. You can't give up your powers, we'll be stranded! TAAron shook his head again. "I don't think they'd let us do something that didn't really hurt anyone. I could give up something, just let me think. Wynn, I'm doing it.
  8. TAAron shook his head vehemently. "No. None of you... none of you can do that. I'll think of something to offer." "No! No, Haly. We can work that out. You aren't giving that up."
  9. "No! You can't do that! Not for me." Lerac stood back, looking solemn. I've already explained this to you. I have failed. This is the best thing I can do.
  10. "No! What are you paying?" Nameless, stop.
  11. "Don't worry? What is it? Why didn't you tell me?"
  12. "WHAT? What do we have to offer, then?"
  13. Nervous, TAAron nudged Nameless. "Show them the thing."
  14. Lerac shook his head. "A trap, probably."
  15. "What?" TAAron was equally shocked. "The Chamber of Bonds? It can't be."
  16. "No." He took her hand, his own eyes tearing up. "Not selfish. Just a little stupid."
  17. "How do you think I feel? I dragged you into this. None of it would've happened if I didn't get myself captured the first time! And now you're telling me that you'd sure for my sake. How would I live with myself?" TAAron skidded to a halt. "Nameless, do you know this place?"
  18. "I won't let you die for me. If I die in here, you all can just leave. Better that then one of you die and we keep on risking ourselves."
  19. TAAron looked exasperated. "Why not?"
  20. "I mean, if one of us was in danger?"
  21. "Well, what would you do in that situation?"
  22. "I wouldn't do it to be heroic, but I'd be willing to risk myself to help you. Or... Anyone here, for that matter."
  23. I'm sorry. That sounds terrible. I wish I could say exactly what to do, but the best I can suggest is to talk to her and, if you are really concerned, contact someone trusted about the situation.
  24. He smiled slightly. "What a hypocrite. Here, lean on me again. If you're going to do anything, we can't have you falling over." He kept waking forward into the dark. @UnfortunatelyNamed
