"... I don't think so. I mean, I was a cat all night, and I haven't really noticed a change."
-
"Uh... Dizzy."
-
"So, we'll just wait here until she wakes up?"
-
"Yes. So, how are we going to keep the girl safe? Should we set up a watch?"
-
Par paled slightly. "Let's just try to avoid more murder, though."
-
"Death fodder? That is what I will be?" The man paused, thinking. "Well, I suppose it seems I have little life now anyway."

Capture the Flag... With AI

Duine, having rolled a nat 20 on initiative and being extremely fast, bolts forward into space 1B. He also uses neutral focus to gain 250 Power, and the modifier in area 2 bumps this up to 375 Power. Turn over? -
"Still better to find out when she isn't nearby at all." Par shrugged. "No idea."
-
"I don't know. I'd rather find out when the kid isn't in harm's way."
-
"No, I don't think so. Thankfully."
-
Par was flooded with relief. Unsure what else to do or even what time it was, he stood outside, waiting for her to wake up.
-
When Par woke up, he was no longer a cat. He hadn't noticed falling asleep, and chided himself for dropping his watch. His head hurt fiercely. Sighing, he stood up, and dizzily went to check on the child's room.

"Good. Is this acceptable?" @Mystic Syn

He frowned. "I imagine you could find something for me to do. As for the reward, I see little need for money aside from basic necessities such as food and shelter. If that could be made available to me, I would be happy to help. There is little else I have to do, as it stands."
-
"I do not know, but I would like to try, if I may."
-
"If you both are trying to prevent death, I would like to help."
-
"Ah. You mean, you are trying to to find them for a bounty."
-
"Lucrative?"
-
"I should hope so. I am very confused."
-
"Oh. That would not be the only information I am missing, it seems."
-
"What do you mean when you say 'rogue?' Is this some criminal you are chasing?"
-
The man had taken to watching their conversation curiously.
-
"Oh." "I see." He looked at her oddly. Then he put his head in his hands, groaning. He picked it back up a moment later, then ran his hands through his hair, looking confused.
