"Right." Contrary to what he had thought, the man was completely sober. "Why should I trust you?"
Myrto looked at her in shock. "We hadn't even confirmed that he was the enemy yet!"
He spat out the debris with disgust, then seized her by the throat and pinned her to the floor. His eyes flashed dangerously and he spoke with a quieter voice. "Who. Are. You?"
Myrto sprinted into the area, still holding his bloody spear, breathing heavily, and with a manic grin on his face. Not seeing her before it was too late, he ran straight past her.
The man continued at a dead sprint, ducking around corners and heading away from the center of the city, towards the outskirts. Somehow, he never let down his dead sprint, although he was rather short and was still a bit slower than the guard.
"Once we get out of this, we have to kill Malum. As soon as possible." TAAron now just looked afraid.
Lerac watched the conversation, expression unreadable.
"I have no idea." He looked horrified and ashamed.
"Do... to Haly? I..." He looked confused. "That wasn't willpower, that was electrum. And I don't know what came over me there, I just... I don't know."
Lerac quickly knocked that agent aside and pulled out the knife, healing Haly as quickly as he could.
TAAron reached the head agent and knocked her to the floor, holding the knives over her, a disturbing madness in his eyes.
TAAron froze for just a moment. Then, he Pulled, wrenching the knife out of the agent's grasp and catching it in midair. He once again made for the lead agent, now brandishing two knives.
Without warning, TAAron ran at the head agent, holding the knife he had given Haly earlier. As he ran, he burned electrum, allowing him to see visions of his own future a few seconds ahead.
