  1. Lerac entered. Upon seeing him and his burning eyes, TAAron jumped. "Lerac! What happened?" "Malum's dead, Bonum's dead, Wynn is corrupted." TAAron gaped. @Thaidakar the Ghostblood @UnfortunatelyNamed
  2. "Where?" His voice wasn't angry, it was desperate, but it was also filled with a powerful forcefulness.
  3. Lerac stopped dead in his tracks. "Wynn!" He looked around wildly, trying to find where she had gone.
  4. Lerac had already gotten far ahead. After only a moment, he reached Wynn, and called her name. @Ranryu
  5. Lerac sped up, whole body starting to glow with the same fiery energy. Seeing Lark behind him, he suddenly released a puff of gray-orange flame, blocking the hallway. Just like the others, it wasn't hot, but unlike the others, it would burn. "I'm sorry, I have to," he called. "I'll come back!"
  6. "I can't be sure. Lerac is a healer, and Wynn is pretty powerful, but I don't know what's happening to either of them right now. And we have whatever other abilities the people here have." "I can't lose her. I can't let go." Lerac hit the wall, then after a brief pause, phased through, leaving a ghostly afterimage.
  7. "Er... I guess so. We'll plan now?" Lark was flooded with a deathly cold, and the hand that touched Lerac's shoulder lit up with a stinging pain. Lerac shrugged him off, propelled by a powerful energy.
  8. Lerac stopped short from his run. His eyes were alight with greyish fire, dagger clutched in his hand. "I'm fine. I need to get to Wynn." He went around Lark and began running again.
  9. TAAron nodded. "Are you sure he gave no reason for why he chose me?"
  10. Lerac kept running. As he approached, Wynn began to feel Death's cold. The flower fell from her ear, completely withered and dry.
  11. The flower in Wynn's hair died. --- Lerac waited for a moment, pondering. He tried to concentrate, and found that he could sense... something. "Shark, I need to go. You can come with me, but you'll have to keep up." And with that, he took off, feet propelled by the strange energy, towards Wynn. He didn't know what he'd do when he found her, but he couldn't get himself to stop.
  12. "I don't know why he did. What kind of evaluation are you talking about, anyway?"
  13. "Well, I imagine she thinks she'll die because she's corrupted. And no, I don't plan on killing her. But it worries me that all Death did to 'explain' was give me a weapon."
  14. "She seems to think that it's inevitable that she'll die, or be killed. But she wants me to be the one to do it... because she loves me."
  15. "Of course you can help. But I don't know about Wynn. She said that Death could explain. And she told me that I should kill her." Realization struck him, and he looked down at the dagger in his hand. "Oh."
  16. "She got taken almost as soon as we got here. She might still be alive, though we can't know for sure either way."
  17. "I don't know. But Death gave me this." Lerac held up the strange dagger. "I'm sure we could try to help the Clinic. Maybe defeat... whatever this thing is we're fighting."
  18. Clinic: Hallway "She's gone." The fire was gone in an instant, but the cold remained and Lerac's eyes still burned. "Corrupted. I might have been able to stop it... But it's too late now to save her." "Do you know who it was?"
  19. "Of course I will. I have nothing to lose, anyway. You said a scream? I didn't hear anything."
