    After a few minutes, Tayen awoke too, and seemed surprised to see her there in his arms.

    The girl paused for a moment, looking back at Rue, ash-streaked face confused.

    Deciding to heed her, TAAron stayed behind, watching. The girl yelped was Rue kept approaching, then turned and began to scramble away.

    TAAron stopped. "Rue...? Oh." The girl shied away, deeper into the alley.

    He blinked awake. Helda? His signs were difficult to make out in the dark.

    He didn't answer, eyes still closed.

    Go ahead and start on the bed. He sat down next to it, closing his eyes.

    ...Never mind. He looked around as they entered the room. Not a lot of space, but it's... more than I'm used to.
