    TAAron knocked on the door that he remembered Aventine going to. @Spark of Hope

    TAAron stepped out, gesturing for Haly to follow. @Halcyon The Only

    TAAron opened the door to the hallway, trying to remember what rooms the others had taken. @Argenti

    He sighed. "Okay. It's your choice. In that case, we might want to try and find the others."

    "You know I didn't want to be a god, but the best thing that has come from it is knowing that I'm more able to keep you safe. Please let me."

    "Haly..." He sat next to her, looking around nervously at the disorientingly illuminated room.

    "I'll be fine. I'd stay with you, but I don't want to leave the others behind."

    "Why not? It's probably not safe here."

    "Probably not. Maybe I should get you out of here."

    TAAron returned to reality. "Haly? There's something here. Some sort of massive entity covering the city." @Halcyon The Only

    TAAron looked into the world of connections, which remained unaffected by the darkness filling the city. He looked across the crystalline landscape for the lights that represented souls. He found that he had a vague sense of each soul, and felt for anything unusual as his consciousness traveled. TAAron went quiet. If Haly looked, he would seem zoned out, and his form would be fuzzy like it was when he slept.

    TAAron's light overlapped strangely with the darkness, neither one pushing the other back. It was a nauseating effect of simultaneous light and darkness that was hard to get one's mind around.

    TAAron frowned at the lack of light, though he provided plenty of illumination for their own window.

    "I don't know what it is. The storm's stopped."

    He laughed softly. "Hear that strange singing?"

    "Hey. I think something might be happening. But I can leave you be for now if you want."

    TAAron stirred at the sound. His appearance solidified and he sat up, listening.

    His skin felt something like glass, or maybe metal. He stirred slightly, almost coming back into focus before he once again drifted off, the illusion not properly maintained.
