    "Enrik, scout." The rat scuttled around the alley. "What do you want?"

    She froze. Whatever it was, it didn't seem to know why she was here. That meant she was safe. She just had to make it leave.

    She sighed. "Enrik, come back. There's nothing."

    After all, she was in a ghost town. It could be anything. A stray animal, a creaky window, another person. The rat scuttled down the alleyway for a long minute.

    She walked over. The rat on her shoulder scuttled down her arm, before plopping down in front of the alleyway.
