  1. Symbol couldn't hold back a happy smile. - "Oh, sorry..." He bit his lip, but tried to push down the guilt. "I just... felt like I needed more Nullite. I was actually wondering if you'd... maybe carry some for me... just in case mine gets confiscated, or in case I need to push you out of danger, or something." - Symbol giggled.
  2. Symbol pulled the turtle back out so he could give it to the turtle, and also to do something so that hopefully her confused blush would be lost in the slop of words. Agreed. "Thank you." That felt like the right thing to say, at least.
  3. ......oh ............oops :PP I'm not nomming you unless you get on another call with me, @Through The Living Glass :3
  4. Aw... Uh, whatever, was what Symbol meant. She carefully tucked the turtle into a magical pocket that doubled as an aquarium from the inside. - He blushed deeply. "I... I'll explain soon, okay?" He took a deep breath and turned back to the trolley. He closed his eyes and the trolley was shredded. Bits of Nullite flew away from Bat and the trolley in a straight line. He walked over and picked up the largest bits.
  5. OW T~T *cries* waaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
  6. I guess basically what I'm saying is that I personally try my best to be courteous of the other Authors. Without the other Authors invested in the storylines, one of two things happen--- those storylines get ignored or pushed aside in favor of the ones that seem more interesting or fair to those particular Authors, or the Authors just leave TLT entirely. Neither of which we want to have happen. Part of that, in my personal opinion, is avoiding situations that might frustrate other Authors. Rebus was really proud of his Plotblade, it fit him well, and now you've taken it away. That's naturally something Dragonheir's going to be frustrated with. And negative emotions is never something we want associated with ourselves as an Author and fellow roleplayer, nor with the roleplay itself. So while the Thread is random, it doesn't need to be so random that we have to fear losing what we've established through careful planning to that same randomness. It, quite frankly, doesn't make sense to hold everything we've been building hostage to the Thread's randomness. Especially when the state of the Thread has been so precarious lately. Sorry again if that's blunt. That's just how I see it, and I really don't want anyone to feel like they came off the loser. "WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE?" Agreed. The mineral came out of left field and quite frankly doesn't make sense with the established lore. Also, I had another post above. I can grab that if you'd like Symbol blushed slightly. Sorry.
  7. Symbol blushed, somewhat startled. "What?" Symbol glanced over at Rebus, then tried to pet the turtle in a nondescript way. She felt very awkward. - "Thank you," he told her. "First, since we're here, I want to gather a couple things." He walked toward the trolley stopped still on the street. Nobody seemed to be around. Perhaps not. But when so many of us have been tending towards buildup, and since the Thread now has concrete lore and so much invested in it, I'd disagree that the soul is randomness. The soul of TLT is, increasingly, the characters within it. Randomness is the main medium, but... in this case, randomness shouldn't overpower preparation. You can assure us all you want that it was planned, but none of us saw any of it. That makes it feel, to the rest of us, cheap and unearned. Sorry if that's a bit blunt; I'm just trying to sum up this slight frustration. But we don't know them. Well, experience doesn't necessarily translate to power. Rebus is honestly one of the most formidable people on this thread, and if, as you said, Platypus was moving slowly, Rebus would easily have been able to neutralize him with utility fog and get at the very least all but one of the daggers. A new version of Symbol appeared in order to tell him off. "You killed him? You killed Rebus and expected him to take it as an EXPERIMENT? You're INSANE! WORSE than insane-- you're delusional!" She was fuming.
  8. idk I think my mind is just on food :PP *frees*
  9. Symbol hesitated for a long moment, then bent to pick up the turtle. Mine now, she thought to herself, summoning a trench coat to slip the turtle into. - "I... can we please just go?"
  10. Symbol grinned. Patience. - Just real quick. Then we'll go... He bit his lip. Somewhere I probably shouldn't take you. But it feels right. No. He carries bits of Nullite, especially since discovering his powers. Oh, and I believe he's still holding a bunny. In case that's in any way relevant. ... I guess he was holding a bunny when he decided to try to become protagonist.
  11. I'd agree. It doesn't make sense for him to just show up and say "guess what, everyone, I'm important". In my personal opinion. You need the buildup. That's what this thread is all about! It's kind of the soul of TLT. Planning, building up to it, in spite of or at the behest of other players, using fair methods and not sheer stubbornness as manpower. I dunno. It does'nt sit right with me when I've been building up Bat for hundreds of pages now, and the buildup Nameless (before he vanished) and Dragonheir have done for Antagonist. Yeah, Platypus is the antagonist right now, but I think he lacks the scope to be the Antagonist, at least right now. Agreed. Symbol vanished, promising to return after she gave Nemesis a little level-up to provide alternate engagement for those who did not wish to stick around for the stalemate.
  12. "Your belonging you basically attatched to him! You clearly intended it to happen." - "What wrongs?" Bat huffed. A lens. - Bat slipped the shard of Nullite back into his bag. We need to do something productive. Can you take me to the Nullite caverns? Maybe to where my compass is? It's mostly perception in the Thread. I'd argue that here, since it's run by the people, it should be the way the Thread-people generally perceive it. I'd say you're an outlier, honestly.
  13. Perhaps. But it definitely shouldn’t be a random character or someone who hasn’t been set up for the rest of the Thread to see. “Your shard.” - “A duty to WHAT?” I don’t know, Symbol replied. But my Author has an idea, and I’m willing to play along and deliver her gift to him. - Yeah, Bat to Tam That’s true. It’s a bit more complicated than that. How would you choose the Protagonist?
  14. "You stole his Plotblade. Or your Author did, on your behalf." Oh, it won't be hard. Bat bit his lip to stop himself from calling Platypus names. Symbol nodded. I'm fine. I'll be all right... Stay here. I'lll... I have something for Nemesis. To make him more interesting. Maybe to generate more engagement in a slightly more moral way. - Bat took a deep breath. If I fight him now, I don't win. He's too stubborn. So... I have to try something else Symbol smiled at Rebus' heavy-handed criticisms. I disagree. A Protagonist should be the one everyone's rooting for--- not the one nobody understands. Obviously I'm biased since Bat's the current favorite, but he's the favorite for a reason. "Why don't your plans need stopping?" Bat asked. "What are you planning?"
  15. Whoof

    eeeeexxxxxxxxxxxhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuussssssssssssssssstttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

    okie

    so

we went to roll Easter eggs in the morning

I woke up at eight for that after staying up until two for a nice mental breakdown

But after that I got to go to a movie with my friend

and now I think my evening is open

    so that's nice

  16. I feel the same way. I've been around for at least a quarter of the Thread. Hehehe, that would be funny. I see... Onyx is a good character to have it. I'm glad it's not someone else
  17. I think we just have to silence all dissenters >:) Bat narrowed his eyes at Lady Bug. "Calm down," she said. "I'm not here to hurt anybody." She smiled at Symbol, glee sparkling in her eyes. "I know what you wanted. Don't worry. I'll do it for you. But don't imagine I won't enjoy it. Oh, you'll get humanity. You'll get humanity and much, much more." She tossed her head back and laughed, sharp and loud, then vanished with an ear-splitting crack and a curl of confetti. Symbol looked nervous. Nemesis decided to go get her fingernails in return. He walked her way. Bat noticed and pulled out a shard of Nullite. - Bat blushed deeper. Thanks, Tam. He hugged her back. Bat glared at Platypus. "You stole from Rebus. You are a villain." Exactly my point Symbol tilted her head at him. "Why should I care about you? You're just trying to generate engagement. I suppose you're doing all right. I myself have never been good at that, but I find your methods forceful, personally."
  18. Nemesis sighed. What a grouch. - Bat is below. Bat hesitated. Maybe that would be a good idea. But… but then he’d become nothing. Just a gimmick. A side character. And that wasn’t what he was meant for. “No,” he said. “No. I’m going to become a worthy Protagonist. I’m going to at least try.” Saying that felt… really good. Rejuvenating. He’d have to practice. “Where’s Platypus?” Bat asked. “Wait, no. I need a Plotblade if I’m gonna…” Right. That was the point of Protagonist in the first place. He blushed, embarrassed. Wow. Really off to a roaring start there, Bat. - Lady Bug laughed. “Oh, Rebus, the trap wasn’t hers. And it wasn’t for YOU, either.” Symbol appeared, summoning Beginnings. “What are you doing here?” Lady Bug grinned. “What? It’s a markable event.” She reached up casually to stroke her bare neck. Symbol’s eyes widened and she swore.
  19. Nemesis waved brightly again. - Bat sighed and accepted the hug. “Looks like we can try to stop Platypus.” Would the others have the same memories of Symbol?
  20. Haly saluted. ok wait which version of rebus is with her Nemesis waved at everyone. @Through The Living Glass Bat didn’t feel like being careful. At least something interesting was happening. “Ah,” Lady Bug said, appearing with her shard in tow. “A new villain. This should stimulate some activity, dubious morality notwithstanding.”
  21. “I’m stumped as to what to do with the clone. Go ahead and PM me, though. I’d do it, but I have a bit of a full day. I might, if we’re not home soon.” She raised an eyebrow. Nemesis teleported there. Symbol tilted her head at her shard. She wondered what it was for.
  22. @Through The Living Glass @Dragonheir what did I miss ik I could just read stuff but I don’t feel up to it i can just wait until next week if u prefer; that’s ok
