    She couldn't hear him, because Livetha was still disoriented. But she got the message from the way he hugged her. "Thank you," she whispered. She didn't know what had happened, but there was no way she'd just come back alive. I love you. Unfortunately, Livetha reconnected them right before she thought that. Beosta didn't know this, though. Bat stared at it, and for some reason wanted to smile. "So... what does it do?"
