    Bat frowned. He didn’t think Cricket was a moron. “That went well,” he said. “I think.”

    “At the academy, yeah. The tree spirits were like—“ he waved his hands— “whOooOoooOoo” and then I could kinda hear her thoughts and I realized, oh, it’s that bird over there!”

    "I'd like to go during a sunset, I suppose. I've heard seaside sunsets are really pretty."

    "Oceans would be cool. Have you ever been to one?"

    "Of course, of course. A permanent location would be fantastic! I've been looking into those as well." She frowned. "Or I thought I had. I guess I must still be undecided."

    “Fancy,” she said, fascinated. “Do you plan on doing anything specific?”

    “I’m plenty alive. I think. Are you?” Yeah! He suddenly felt very happy. We are. I’m friends with Cricket, too! “It is! Though… er… my team is relatively inexperienced. Perhaps you’d consider reading over my script once we finish it.”
