    She grabbed his sleeve and dragged him over to an empty stone archway set in a wall. Behind it was nothing but a little alcove. She took a deep breath. Scud, was she really gonna do this?

    “Scud. Come here anyway.” She grabbed the bottle and climbed down off the fountain.

    She ignored him and climbed into the largest basin, going onto her tiptoes to peer into the highest one. A small vial lay there, full of a green, misty gas. “Do you have anything of TAAron’s?”

    Bat was confused, but didn’t question her and stayed on the couch. Some clouds began to circle overhead in an ominous, shark-like fashion.

    She ran her fingers thoughtfully along the edge of the second basin of the fountain. “I just don’t know how to work it…”

    Indeed there was a shark fun that had been ploughing up the ground and now had rammed into the wall. It drew back to circle the cabin.

    "It was boring," she said. "All I ever did was study, study, study, train, train, train. It's a miracle I got to study swords at all with how much I studied and trained and practiced and read." Night!!

    She blinked. "Oh. I see. Uh... you were there, right? Didn't you... when you guys rescued me?"

    She snorted. "I dunno. We'll see." After a pause, she added, "Why are you thanking me?"

    It was a skinny green thing, rippling as it moved and happily circled the pine tree that happened to be somewhat taller than the surrounding deciduous trees.
