    “Hid a bunch of fugitives in one place, of course.” He pulled a bell out of his pocket and rang it. Loud, so all the people woke up. They’d know what was happening. Then he lit a torch with the fire and made his way upstairs through the secret hatch. Then he lit Jericho’s wheel on fire. He hurried after her. Bat did not wanna be the one to tell her.

Bat was also unnerved. He let go of her hand and wrapped his arm around her shoulders instead. “Where are we?”
