    The raven grabbed the axe in her talons and exploded I to a flurry of feathers. “Thanks,” she said. The young woman was tall, just taller than he was, with huge black wings she folded to her sides as he watched. She wore blue, and feathers sprouted sparsely along her neck and cheekbones. She smiled, holding his axe. “Mind if I keep this for a bit? Just until I find someone else to leech off of.” Isn’t that a good reason to NOT DO THAT?

    He grabbed it out of her hand. “No.” She shook her head and flapped her wings, then tapped her claws on it again and looked at him pleadingly, as if asking for permission.

    He snorted. “No.” He led her to a table by an empty canvas, where a supply of watercolor paints and brushes were. “You put real paint on it.” He used a tiny brush to make a skinny black line.

    He took her to a large, well lit studio full of paintings and black canvases. “Canvas.” He pointed to a large empty canvas. - Talia jumped. “Hi,” she said hopefully.

    “That’s… Tam, those were in the dead monster…” “I don’t care. You pick.” Hmph, I see how it is.

She nipped his ear, then stared at him intently before tapping his axe with her claw. YESMARRIED She took a deep breath and nodded. “Yes. That.” - She tilted her head. “You think sometimes?? That’s so cool!!” “YOU SHOULD! COME DOWN WITH US!!” “Aw, but…” YAY STEESS OVER And ye my worldbuilding is all over the place “Smart,” Haly remarked. “Mmhmm. Very smart. You know what? I need a new character.” Huh fascinating
