I sort of got the impression that Nightblood was a thing that they only did once, and it succeeded a little too well and they (or at least Vasher) decided it was too dangerous to ever try again.
-
I dunno. "Technological artifact becomes sentient by accident" is too well-worn a trope for me to see Brandon pulling it out; he likes to try to do new things or put new twists on old ideas.

...and Khriss is in the city at the time. How did I miss that?

In the broadsheet piece that appears before chapter 15 of Bands of Mourning, we see an ad for someone willing to listen to the (presumably) paranoid fantasies of those who believe their metal tools are talking to them. It's illustrated with a hammer with a speech bubble over it saying "HELLO!" But what if it's not a paranoid fantasy? Hello, would you like to smite some nails today?

I love the poll that Brandon put up recently on his site. A friend of mine, though... not so much. You see, she's blind, and her screen reader software doesn't have any easy way to differentiate between normal and italic text, so she can't tell which option was selected for several of the answers. If anyone from Team Dragonsteel is reading this, would you mind pointing this out to him? This friend is a huge fan, and she particularly loves Brandon's insistence on getting audiobooks (the only way she can enjoy an author's work!) published at the same time as the paper ones, so it's a bit sad when something like this happens. Thanks!

What would happen if an Allomancer burned a radioactive isotope of an Allomantic metal?

The Splintercast Reads Mistborn: Secret History, Episode 4

WRT Kelsier not being content to move on, using Hemalurgy and not caring about what evils are involved and who gets hurt, WoB is that Kelsier is a psychopath, in the medical sense--a person with no real capacity for empathy. So this is not that surprising. The wrap-up sounds like a fun idea! So you're Preservation now?- 17 comments

If King Taravangian then what happens if he pulls an all-nighter?

Where is the symbol for Harmonium given? It's not listed here, which is unsurprising as Harmonium is a metal that has never been actually shown to exist in any story I'm aware of.
-
Any idea where that might be found?
-
Do you have a source for that, or is it headcanon?

The ancient Terris already had Feruchemy. (And they certainly didn't get it from the Lord Ruler, who spent the rest of his life trying to suppress Feruchemy!)
-
Sure, but we never see people discussing it the way they discuss the other metals. It seems that the first rule of Lerasium Club is that you don't talk about Lerasium Club!
-
According to Secret History, Preservation's power takes multiple physical forms. Solid as Lerasium, liquid as the power in the Well of Ascension, and vapor, as the mists. I have to wonder, does that mean it would be possible to enclose and condense some mist and render Lerasium from it, to create new Mistborn with? It seems it would be (conceptually at least) simpler than the way the Set is going about it, but no one seems to have thought of it...
-
There's an Allomantic symbol for Lerasium. I have to wonder, how is that possible, when no one seems to actually know about Lerasium, and there's no indication that it was ever around in any great quantities, the way Atium was?

If Honorblades are not like normal Shardblades...

Do we have any official explanation for this? -
unknown shards We haven't known Trell yet

Unlikely, seeing as how in the quote everyone keeps referring back to, Hoid implies that Rayse and Bavadin are both still around. (Otherwise, why would he be perpetuating a grudge against them?) -

A few years ago at a signing in Seattle, before Words of Radiance came out, I asked Brandon if King Gavilar's cryptic final words ("tell my brother he must find the most important words a man can say") were his own or a Death Rattle. He said that they were Gavilar's own words. Then I asked if, seeing as how some concepts tend to cross worlds sometimes, if Miles's last words ranting about Trell and the final metal were his own or came from somewhere else. He grinned and said that's a very good question, and gave me a RAFO card. Relevant? Hard to say... -

I saw that. I also saw the disclaimer that it's something fan-created with no canonical basis. -

Where is the term "Trellium" coming from? I don't believe I've ever seen that used in canon or WoB. I do, however, recall WoB that Odium "is very concerned about" Sazed and is actively taking steps to undermine him. From this, it seems that the most logical candidate for the name of this metal would be "Raysium", though of course that's still speculation on my part. -
I know we've got members from all over the world who come here to post questions and devise theories, and I can't help but wonder. If we had someone whose principal pursuit was to come up with theories about how important yet obscure events in the Cosmere really happened, based on the limited information available to us, and this person was from a certain part of southern Europe, would that person be an Italian Veristitalian?
