  1. Le sigh. For some reason my avatar (a star ruby) doesn't like showing up. Maybe I should get a new one.
  2. Is it a sun with rays bursting forth? Is it a lion with an "S" instead of a face? Is it a fireball? Ah, yes. "Overlord of Nachos". It must be a ring of Nacho "Cheez" with an S swirl in its viscous center, surrounded by triangular tortilla chips. I give you, SILUS- SHARD OF FLAME!
  3. I somehow doubt that Szeth would be able to easily renounce his Truthlessness and join Kaladin, Dalinar & co. He is already going insane, hearing the screams of those he has murdered and blaming people for not being strong enough to prevent him from killing them. I think that having to take full responsibility for all of those deaths by renouncing the power of his vow as Truthless (think Derethil and the Wandersail) would be too much for him. Also, in an interview, The Sanderson mentioned that Book 1 was partly about Shallan's "first apprenticeship". Does this mean that there are going to be more apprenticeships to others? I'm all for the Shallan as Wit Idea .
  4. Yay! Thanks, zas. That's what I assumed.
  5. Here is my dumb question: I've been using Roshar as both the name for the planet and the name for the main continent interchangeably on the wiki. Is this correct?
  6. I would give Dalinar a wedding ring so he could propose to Navani. I would give Vin a perfume collection. I would give Shallan a nice chamois so she could quickly erase any symbolheads that appeared in her drawings so she wouldn't have to throw them away. I would give Nan Balat some painkillers and therapy.
  7. Biology! With an emphasis in ecological systems. Probably.
  8. Dalinar deduces that Gavilar's last words are a quote from "The Way of Kings". It is never explained what the "most important words a man can say" are. Dalinar's quest to find out what the words are encourages his obsession with the book and following its teachings.
  9. I've been a lurker on this forum for awhile, and at times I would see threads that I wanted to post on, and wiki things I wanted to edit. So, here I am! My name is from Way of Kings, and it has no special significance to me other than that I flipped open the book to choose a name, and this is what appeared. I'm excited to join your community of Brandonites.
