  1. Agreed. Great find! Thank you so much!!!
  2. Hm, yeah, gloryspren are different and not mysterious. It's good to see that there actually are spren mentioned alongside chasmfiends; it means the online references weren't COMPLETELY off-base. Just mostly off-base. Unless we can find a quote to strongly suggest the mystery spren exist, I'll delete all mention of them from the spren pages.
  3. CALLING ALL DETECTIVES! On more than a couple places online, I've seen mysterious spren appearing around dead chasmfiends mentioned. However, after searching the book I cannot find it. Are these mystery spren ever mentioned or described? Or are people confusing shardblade-caused smoke for spren? I need to know if there really are chasmfiend spren for the spren catalogue. Anyone have any clue?
  4. Ooh, thanks! Linkify away. My current mini-project is doing all of the spren articles. After that, though, I'll get going on the millions of needed articles again.
  5. I combed through the lovely land of Stormblessed to come up with this hopefully comprehensive list of articles they have that we don't. (I tried to leave out ones that I was aware we already had listed as red links.) There may or may not be several typos between me and the Stormblessed folks. Bridgemen: Adis, Arik, Corl, Gadol, Koolf, Malop, Narm, Peet, Torfin, Yake, Aharietiam Aladar Alethi Script (or as a subsection of Alethi/Alethkar) Amark Artifabrian (or under fabrial) Au-nak Av Azir/Azish Babatharnam Babsk Bav language/dialect: "Kurp" Bavland Bethab book reviews bridgemen Rosharian calendar (as a separate page?) caste system overview page (including lighteyes/darkeyes) Coreb Currency system Curses list: Stormfather, Dustmother, etc in one page Dabbid Myth of Parasaphi Dawnshard Devotary Drehy Flora/Fauna of Roshar Feverstone Keep Gavarah ghostblood needs a redirect to ghostbloods glyphs Goshel Gregorh Half-shard Hashal Hatham Hav Honorblades Hobber (Earless) Jakks Kasbal Leyten Lomard Luesh Maps (bridgeman) Celestial bodies/constellations Nelda Ocean of Origins Origin of Storms Restares Rianal Roion Ruthar Rysn Sebarial Sigzil Skar Stormblessed The number 10 Tezim Thanadal The History of Man The Oathpact The Ten Fools The Wind's Pleasure Thresh-son-Esan (or could be grouped under notable Shin) Took Tukks Vamah Vanrial Varas Vartian Vengeance Pact Veristitalian Vstim Weepings (as a separate page?) 6. It seems to me that the Mistborn part of the wiki is the most fleshed out, so maybe Way of Kings? Hm, true. Well, so far I'm leaning towards a Way of Kings reread, first to complete the chapter summaries (unless whoever started that really wants to finish that themselves) and then to fill in the Ars Arcanum stuff. As soon as I get my copy of WoK back from my friend, who is at this moment weeping over the travails of Bridge Four.
  7. My sister seems to have gotten a new album, and is now playing the same 5 songs over and over and over and over again.

  8. Thanks, Studier. I definitely don't aspire to be a poet (only to pass the poetry assignment in English) but I really admire people with actual skills! Also, I had multiple people tell me how interesting they thought the form of my poem was and compliment me on coming up with it. So I had to explain its actual origin... haha.
  9. Eh, it's not really what I'm here for. But if a lot of other people are behind it, I say, sure, why not?
  10. So, as you may have noticed, I've been randomly editing the wiki for about a week now. I think I might increase my usefulness to the wiki if I focused on one task, or one book/series. I've read all of Brandon's stuff, including Alcatraz, so I could do anything, provided that it doesn't involve any technical skills beyond, say, including footnotes. I look to you, kind and generous readers, random commentors, editors and admin of the wiki: what should I focus on? What do you view as the most important task for my attention? I stand ready to move on your word.
  11. While technically speaking, it's not your birthday anymore in the UK, it still is here, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  12. Thank you for the recommendations! Maybe I will get MB 2 (El pozo de la asención) because only that book is in stock on both websites.
  13. Hi Thorontir! It's great to see another member joining the forum (especially because this makes me feel less new, haha.) Your name and the origin of your name are great. Yes, I definitely recommend reading Way of Kings too. It's a great book and after you finish you can come and discuss the Cosmere more with us... that is always fun. If you are bored, you can always send me a Personal Message (in English or Spanish; my Spanish is equal to your English). Oh, also, I've been searching for copies of Mistborn in Spanish unsuccessfully, even though I know they exist somewhere. If you know where to buy some I would be happy to know. Again, welcome to the forum!
  14. Mine isn't nearly as amazing as Studier of Keteks', but I'll post it anyway. Also, I sort of failed at being exactly faithful to the Ketek form (especially the complete thoughts part), but here goes: Soaring eagle/ by binoculars viewed/ rising thermals on, eagle, on thermals rising/ viewed binoculars by/ eagle soaring.
  15. Hi pv3Hpv3p! I'm Chachel, and I'm just slightly less new than you. I've been here for like three whole days! (Yay!) Like you, I'm always looking for new things to read... and I know what a challenge it can be finding something actually appealing. I would share recommendations, but I've been reading mostly Dostoevsky, (I love his stuff for no discernable reason) but I don't want to recommend him because he makes most people cry because they are so bored. I second the Elantris idea; it's a great book!
  16. Downloaded the Brandonothology because it kept murdering my computer if I looked at it online. 177 pages, you guys.

well 99% of the information (and the main namespace) is in-universe, the Q&A aren't, so why should they be in the same namespace? I have OCD ok :P

There will be more content that isn't explicitly in-universe, such as People, Theories, and Q&A's. Hard divisions between the two are bad. Our users are smart and can figure out the difference between them.

Minimizing the amount of categorization is always good, because it makes the wiki more newbie-friendly (and wikis are complicated enough as it is). Also, this way there can exist articles which have in-universe content while also having out-of-universe content. Arti...

Okay, so these comments have a text limit. Heh.

  17. Haha, true. I see your point and agree that the individual Herald pages as placeholders is the best idea.
  18. So if you see monkeys suddenly bursting with power, it's because they learned how to read.

  19. Also at the zoo, while I was making monkey enrichment I enscribed the ideals of the Knights Radiant on their puzzle feeders.

  20. Today I got annoyed at the lack of citations on a product claim. Too much time on the wiki? Nah.

  21. (May I just say that I'm more than a bit awed at all your mad technical skills. I know how to operate a toaster. That's about it.)
  22. While entering information like a crazy person, I noticed a minor issue. Some Heralds linked to on the Ten Essences page have their own pages, such as Jezrien and Vedeledev, while others exist as annoying red links. However, all of the Heralds are described individually on the Heralds page. I'm thinking we should merge the individual Herald pages that already exist to the Heralds page and redirect the links of the Herald names in the Ten Essences table to the sections of the Heralds page. And by 'we' I mean you guys, since I fail at technology in general and have no idea how to do this.
  23. If Seons are splinters of Aona, or aspects of her consciousness or somehow linked to Aona, wouldn't it make sense to have Aona's shard's name be something along the lines of Devotion/Service? Seons are paragons of devotion.
  24. I love this story. I want to see what becomes of it. Last night when my little sister wanted a bedtime story, this is what she got. .
