I am seething. 

My parents decided that today was the day they wanted to go to the beach. Today. On a whim. Of course, Sunday is the one day of the week when I have scheduled social events- Dnd from about 3:30 in the afternoon, to around 8:45 at night. One session runs from 3:30 to 5:00, and the other from 5:00 to 8:45. My parents are aware of this. I've had this schedule for like 6 months. I was told, Oh, we're leaving at around 3:30, when my sister gets home!  So, being the dutiful child, I canceled both of my games. 

We didn't leave until 5:30. 

And my mom was hesitant about going.

Worth noting this beach is like an hour away, so by the time we arrive, it's like 6:30, and by the time we find parking, it's nearly 7. So then we sat down for about 40 minutes, and then my MOM (who was the one who wanted to go in the first place) got annoyed by the flies on the beach and said, "Can we go home now?"

... 

So then we DROVE HOME, stopped for dinner (While bugs were consuming us), and got home at 10. 

So I wasted like my entire afternoon on this stupid beach (WE WENT TO THIS SAME BEACH LIKE LAST WEEK FOR ANOTHER STUPID DAY TRIP- AFTER MY FIRST EVER 8 HOUR SHIFT) and my parents have the audacity to say "Oh I'll miss these memories when you're in college." Memories of what, you not caring about my time and personal commitme

Not to mention a different friend wanted to go out, and I said, "Sorry no, I'm leaving to the beach soon."
