Honestly, even if Kelsier turns out to be a villain, I will cheer for him simply because of how amazingly competent he is. Lots of amazing possibilities.

The flute might also make Hoid come to a realisation that his memories have been meddled with. If Kaladin shows up to Hoid with a flute and he can't exactly recall acquiring it or something, he will know his memories have been destroyed.

Oh I love Shallan and her entourage including Pattern. They are all such unique characters and its so much fun reading about them.

I guess to some extent the Shards have become complacent when it comes to mortals and often are only shown fearing other shards. Living for thousands of years has probably made them underestimate their own creations. You make a great point that seeing Odium leave Braize and go conquering through the Cosmere would be amazing and it does seem like the series is going that way. Some shards seem to have their own champions or weapons (Wax, maybe Lift? and probably others) who may be brought in to handle inter-shard conflict.

I started my journey with Mistborn while being completely oblivious to the entire Cosmere. I traveled to Roshar last year and now I am itching to go everywhere. Personally I looooved Mistborn sooo much but now with each book in the Stormlight series, I find a new favourite Hahahah Forumfather and Highforums are good! And yes I have read RoW as of last week which is why I was on youtube looking for some in depth analysis when I found the 17th Shard channel.
