"The boss is... Fairy reserved." Said Charlie. ----------------------------------- Lilliana ate quietly. This is making me really uncomfortable. Do I talk? Do I just sit here?

He shrugged. "He doesn't talk about his past much. None of us do." ------------------------------------------- Lilliana awkwardly joined the other people. Why is life so weird? And why did it have to be a lab? It's like going to a library, but not being able to even touch the books. They won't let me do anything. AHHHHHHHHHHH! WHY? This really is starting to suck.

"Tennessee." He said. He frowned, his eyes widening. He hadn't wanted to say that, but he had. He gripped his cyanide pill, worried. Although, he wouldn't feel guilty about it if he had no control over it... ------------------------------------------------- Lilliana was internally screaming. Why did it have to be a lab? At least if it was somewhere else, I wouldn't be interested in it. But science is my thing! And they have almost all of the equipment I wanted to go buy before I got shot! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This is basically torture for someone who has ADHD. Like me. I want to be touching stuff, and doing stuff. The only thing I don't see that I wanted to try and find, is parts to build circuits.

He nodded, and then stared at the eagle.

"The boss told me to. He wanted to test a theory. I didn't want to, but I do what the boss says." He looked at Kelsier, insanity evident by the expression on his face. "And I know where I shot her. It didn't have to be her." He added. "Any one of the odd worldhoppers from Earth would have worked. But she was miserable anyway."

He stopped talking, and looked away. He started humming, and rocking back and forth in his chair.

"I'd die," He said immediately. "Knowing I betrayed someone who had my trust." He shook his head. "An asylum is the only place I'd belong. I've changed since I was last home."

"No..." He said. "He didn't." He looked Kelsier in the eyes (well, technically eye, but you get the point). "But I don't want to talk about it. There's no way back, after all. At least, not for me." He laughed again. "There's only one place on Earth for people like me, and that's the insane asylum." ---------------------------------------- Wow. There's a lot of worldhoppers here. I guess I qualify as a worldhopper too. Even though I don't know how it happened...

She sighed again. Geez. I didn't even touch anything. I wish I actually had something to do. Her eyes flicked to the microscope. I wish I had some wires and stuff to build circuits with. Or a book to read. Or use of the chemicals. Or the microscope. Or basically anything to do.

"Yes. But I do what the boss asks." He said, almost darkly. ------------------------------------- "Sorry." She said, embarrassed. Ahhhhh! Why don't I understand social cues? Ahhhhh! She stepped away from the papers.

She sighed. "For now, you can use this." She handed him her dagger. She then readied her now. She could use guns, but bows were much more dramatic.

"I haven't been for years, but..." ------------------------- Hm. I wonder what chemicals are in here. If I had a lab like this... This is amazing either way. If only I could use the equipment. She sighed softly, and walked over to a desk, and started reading some of the papers.

"Yeah." Charlie wouldn't mind going back himself, but he did what the boss wanted.

He laughed. "That could describe a lot of places. Not just New York. Skyscrapers can be found in most major cities."

"Never been." He said with a grin. ------------------------------ She grinned. This is my kind of place! Ooh! What's that?

He grinned, and started laughing crazily. --------------------------------- She looked around the room.

But I really, really want to look through the microscope. "Okay." ------------------------------------------- "You could say that." Said Charlie.
