  1. Seems like a pretty disturbing scene to only be there for establishing Ishar's character, rather than an important plot point
  2. I have a theory about Ishar's experiments. First off, I believe the reason he is trying to bring spren physically into the physical realm is because this is a potential "cure" for Cognitive Shadows. But my theory is more about the consequences of these specific experiments. I'm not sure where it was said, but there is a WOB saying that using hemalurgy to steal powers from a radiant would be difficult because the surges come from the bonded spren, not from the radiant themselves. But what if you were able to spike a spren directly? I think that these physical spren will be spiked in the future to grant surges through hemalurgy. The experiments are already pretty dark, and I think it will only get darker....
  3. Stormlight Archive:
  4. You know that scene in the Dark Tower where Roland fights the lobstrosities? The SA is basically ten 500 page novels based off of that.
  5. Let's keep in mind that this will be Book 5 of a 5 part series. So I think the title should be something somewhat optimistic (Along the veins of Hero of Ages or A Memory of Light). This is what I came up with: Keys of the World Keys has the double meaning of Tones. The in-world book could be an ancient Singer hymnal or something.
  6. Knowing that the Dawnshards carry Commands, and that the Shards carry intent, I think that the reason a lot of the Shards have trouble acting is because they are Intent lacking Command (looking at you Harmony) I think Odium somehow was able to wield the Dawnshard Change, and used it to splinter the other Shards I think that Honor was somehow able to take the Dawnshard away from Odium (perhaps dying in the process). Stripped of the Command to Change, Odium has been bound to the Rosharan system Many have noted how similar the effects of the Dawnshard are to awakening. Its also been noted that Endowment seems to have some sort of plan against Odium. I think Endowment is creating a new Dawnshard, perhaps with a sufficient amount of Breath. It seems within the Intent of Endowment to Endow someone with a new Command.
  7. So I know Brandon likes to have historical reasons for cultural quirks in his books. I was thinking of a possible reason for the safehand covering and this is what I came up with. We know that Bondsmiths have access to the Surge of Tension, which seems to be able to take a soft material and make it rigid. We also know from a WoB that Bondsmiths don't get Shardblades or Shardplate. So my theory: The safehand covering was part of the Bondsmith uniform to allow for them to quickly create a shield (from the safehand sleeve). And why does it only apply to women? Well we learned there was only one Bondsmith at the last desolation. Maybe the last Bondsmith was a woman.
  8. Don't forget that the titles are in-world books as well. So unless someone is writing a biography of Szeth, this is probably not it. With the Rysn heading out west, maybe Aimia and Aimians can play into it. Plus I think including the "t" from The Way of Kings allows for more variety. Here is my thought: Knights of the Western Throne
