  1. Kelsier didn’t truly hold Preservation. Needed the Ire shenanigans to make the connection. I think of Kelsier more like a Regent rather than a monarch in that respect.
  2. I think for Szeth, Nightblood also may have access to Szeth’s Connections to lashings in his Spiritweb, giving him a ‘roadmap’ to reconnect them. I think Nightblood can not grant access to surges Unless they had had access previously. A bad analogy could be that Nightblood can not create a door to surges but can unlock an existing door that was locked to surges. Nightblood was terrifying and OP before WAT, I think if they could grant surges too that could be world breaking. I can’t see Brandon allowing something quite that uncontrollable. Would break most of the systems I can imagine Wouldn’t be able to do so in one sitting. Nightblood would saturate, have to stop/slumber then restart. Ie when Rayse was consumed
  3. We see at the end of WAT that the impact of Retribution creation has warped time both in physical and cognitive realm, which raises a couple of questions for me: 1) we see Shallan communicating with Kelsier via Seon from Shadesmar to (guessing) Scadrial physical realm. From the conversation we’re told of the time dilation (showing that Shadesmar was affected by time/investiture timewhimey stuff) but eventually it will match back up. BUT is the time difference the same for both Shadesmare and Roshar physical? Given how cognitive realm is effected by how it’s thought. If vast majority of sapience in Roshar physical see time as normal is that what dictates the time impacting term for Shadesmar? What impact do we think rest of Cosmere perception of the time difference will have? 2) Given how both the investiture of Dominion and Devotion- The Dor is in Sel’s cognitive realm, does time there also move differently and that’s a big part why is difficult to travel? Could it behave more like the spiritual realm time? 3) Was Seon communication ‘simple’ because they’ve experienced this from the above question? 4) could there be any weird impacts for a Cadmium or Bendalloy user?
  4. What do we think the impact of Retribution being unbalanced would be? Or is the fact the two shards ‘combine’ as retribution as result of the imbalance? For context being Todium took up Honour, pieces of honour splintered off. This coupled with Honour being invested into spren previously, would I believe mean rather than Retribution being 50/50 Odium/Honour being more like 60/40 (arbitrary number to illustrate). To add further complication if the shard of Honour has a sense of independence more than Odium would that further exaggerate any impacts? We’ve seen with Harmony having more Ruin than Preservation is pushing Them more to discord with Sazed having to consciously ‘wrestle’ with the additional Ruin. (As I understand it at least)
  5. Hey I’m looking to get more involved in Cosmere convos, especially more local to myself in UK. Anyone know any great UK based groups to do so? TTFN -Jabber
  6. Although it seems Retribution has managed to recruit a past Dalinar from a vision, so it may be they’re chat bots with potential to make the leap to sapience. Worth noting that vision Hoids weren’t actually able to fulfil their vision roles as they were aware of the vision nature BUT didn’t act/disrupt against or beyond the vision ‘intent’
  7. Do we even know if praying for war light guarantees receiving it? I feel it’s implied that it’s at Retribution’s discretion and as such if your Intent to sell/give to his enemies he may not bestow the War light. If it was guaranteed to receive the light then why pray at all? I’d have thought if guaranteed that the storm would work more like the high storm with every sphere in Retribution’s domain being invested at midnight automatically.
  8. Do we ever get confirmation on the borders of Urithiru as a nation? If the borders end at the edge of the new bubble, if the everstorm ever goes higher than the tower I would infer that the sky only directly above would be clear and I can’t imagine that would be enough to sustain crop growth? Should the borders be beyond the bubble, would that mean that the surrounding mountainside (below a certain height) would be oasis of life now they would have clear sky above? Also is there such a thing as a claim on airspace too? Finally did the border agreement also apply to nations in the cognitive realm?
