  1. Yeah, that's the Stormfather.
  2. Thank you! I got a couple ideas from RoW, but I mostly focused on my animatics the past couple months, so the comics slowed to a trickle.
  3. I was wondering when to read it. I know the basics of it and the Hoid interaction in it, but I've kept myself mostly spoiler-free from it.
  4. I’ve read most of it. I’m missing Mistborn Era 2, but that’s about to be remedied, and I’m once I’m through, I’m going to pick through my copy of Arcanum Unbounded and fill in the cracks. also need to read White Sand, but those books are tricky to find.
  5. Treasure Planet, you can see it on Disney Plus.
  6. Agreed! Really want to force the family to watch it today.
  7. Something I made after browsing YouTube this morning:
  8. I really, really liked Viv's chapters far more than Siri's. I kind of rolled my eyes over how she immediately goes full on Disney Princess with Susebron. Vivenna's foolhardy efforts of heroism hit more at home to me, and I liked that she didn't go on being a political pawn for anybody. I dislike arranged marriages in novels, but Brandon Sanderson usually slows down to let some development happen between the two involved, but I really didn't feel like that development happened between Siri and Susebron. Still, here you go. I saw this today and realized that it is the best summary of the two sisters' plot points/personalities that I've ever seen.
  9. Probably Way of Kings. All of Stormlight is my jam, but seeing Kaladin struggle and bring up all those around him is fantastic. Shallan is getting established in that book, and I didn't see much of her point in the book when I first read it as a kid, but she's interesting enough in re-reads. The Way of Kings is definitely a Kaladin book, though. That Taravangian twist, though! At the end when Jasnah and Shallan had just been chilling with him, not realizing what he really is. It's just such a great establishing novel with quotable parts and characters, high stakes, and ugh. Wonderfully done. I was upset at Mistborn when I was a kid because Kelsier was my favorite, and I thought he did a dumb with his final move. On a reread, though... I guess it makes sense.
  10. I usually post my things on Reddit and Facebook. It only occurred to me that I might as well join the official forum yesterday.
  11. Thanks!
  12. I'm down to join in. I usually roleplay girls, but I want to branch out a bit. Name: Finch Giuseppe (Nicknamed: Trout) Magic: Trout has the uncanny ability to survive without breathing. It seems relatively useless, but the ability may branch out more. Appearance: 6'1" with bright red hair, grown long into a small tail down his back, and brown-gold eyes. 23 years of age. Details: Literally just hangs around in his local town, fishing off the pier and diving for pearls. His parents are in a fair amount of debt, for the purchase of their home. He has a relatively simple, happy life helping them through it, weaving nets, singing loudly and off key, and being, in general, the roguishly handsome young man on the piers. Skills: Handy with a fishing fork (trident) and net
  13. Wait, how did I do that? Sorry!
  14. Good to know, thanks! Also, RWBY RP? Lol.
  15. Is this like RWBY? Like a Remnant - Stormlight blend?
  16. First I need to figure out character creation, forum and post order/pacing etiquette, and the like. Is Siren's Call a Cosmere setting? Which world? Pardon me while I go check it out.
  17. Which RP is your favorite, and should I haunt it? XD
  18. I made these from Ruby, Ren, Jaune, Nora, and Blake Jazwares vinyl RWBY figures. I think the eyes are a lot less soulless than Funko Pops. (I mean. they look like they just got burned out by a shardblade. Creepy.) Ren's pose was weird on Kaladin, so I gave him a gem and a pouch so he was actually doing something with that stance. I'd planned a spear, but... well, the figure's head is pretty large.
  19. Where do I find these? I'm wading through the forums posting my art/writing/crafts where it seems appropriate, ha.
  20. Ash fell from the sky. Kelsier stared out of his tent, bones frozen. Mare, his wife, curled next to him, shuddering. They waited for death to come, here in the Pits of Hathsin. The prisoners here were less than skaa; they were the dregs of skaa and criminals, slaves that would last months if they were lucky. A week if they were unfortunate. He’d been unlucky this past week. Tomorrow, in the morning, the prisoners would turn over their precious beads of atium. Those who had retrieved some of the metal would win another week of life. The unlucky few who didn’t? They’d be beaten mercilessly, crushed and killed. This was his final night by Mare’s side. He owed his imprisonment to her. He owed his death to her. How could anything else be true? The Lord Ruler himself had thanked her for her betrayal. Kelsier had arrived in the Pits first, alone, and she’d followed within the next two weeks. He stared at the ash. The ashmounts were particularly active tonight. There was no sky. Just the delicate flakes of white, gray; and black, that carpeted the ground just outside the tent. Mare shivered again, and he snaked his arms around her. His arms which were shredded by crawling through the tiniest gaps in the massive maze of the pits, slamming his hands through the razor sharp crystals that created the beads. Blood was a constant companion, this past month, and it was her fault. No. Trust. Just... if he was to die in the morning, he would trust her. He knew it was futile, but he couldn’t stop his body wracking with sobs, his face in her hair. She turned, returning his embrace. “I’m sorry. I forgot to ask. Have you found a bead this time?” Her lips were soft on his collarbone, soft and cold. “No,” he said, unwilling to lie. She had a right to know. She had every right to know that this was their final night. She smiled gently back up at him, dark eyed, her dark hair a beautiful tangle around her face. “I found another,” she said, voice a hiss of secret excitement. “I found a second bead,” she said, and she pressed it into his fingers, then buried her face into his chest. “You’ll live. You’ll be alright. I promise.” Bless her. Damn her. He couldn’t help but love her. He trembled as he held her, too exhausted to do anything more than that. “Thank you,” he breathed, tears on his face. “The ash is supposed to look like snow,” she smiled, distracting him from himself. “Remember what flowers are supposed to look like? Snow was supposed to be blinding, pure, innocent, and white. I’ve never seen anything like it. If you squint, you can see it.” He tried. He couldn’t imagine the piercing color. She spoke to him, soothed him, calmed him to his rest. The next morning, he offered up her bead of atium. That morning, she was thrown into the ring of taskmasters, the cruel men with their brutal clubs. That morning, he screamed, pleaded, begged to trade his life for hers. That morning, the ash was stained with something pure and innocent. Only, it wasn’t white. That night, Kelsier burned atium for the first time.
