    "I don't need that excuse to give you a present." He stood up and took her hands, "let me deal with processing this prisoner's paperwork, and then they'll be all yours."

    Caden looked up from the papers, "Riva, this is a castle."

    The men took Allivia by her arms, and led her out of the room. Fischer stopped just a moment to turn back and nod at his friend before heading out the door, accompanying the men as they guided Allivia out the door, and through the palace halls until the could take her away to Castle Praetorium.

    "What? You don't like it now that you don't have the power? How much do you like this, then!" He raised his hand to strike Allivia, but Nowak shouted at him just before he brought it down. "Fischer, remember yourself!" The sergeant nodded for the other men who were with him to take custody of Ms Nordy. "We're on the job, man."

    "Oh? You don't want to join those who you've let to the Raven's clutches?" Fischer tugged Allivia forward, "we've heard a little about that bit, too." "It's not you we're worried about."

    "Excellent!" Thaten started walking at a brisk pace. "I sense excitement is to come, and I can't wait to experience it with all of you. This will be a journey for the world to remember!"

    "I also doubt that," Fischer noted. "We're considering sending you straight to Castle Praetorium. They have lovely dungeons there, you know."

    Fischer smiled, taking great pleasure in locking the cuffs around the woman's wrists. He leaned forward and quickly whispered in her ear, "your advances don't work on a man who doesn't find you desirable, wretch."

    "I doubt that," Fischer said as he stepped forward with cuffs in hand. "You're lucky it's just the cuffs." The guard stepped forward and patted the visitor down, then stepped away and nodded. "If you're visiting the king, I will send an escort with you."

    "Eager now, aren't we?" Thaten noted as he motioned for the others to follow. "Unless you need a rest, I suggest we get moving. The Cleansing Flame is rarely idle, and so we be."

    Fischer chuckled, "then it's a good thing that you have nothing that I want, temptress." The young man regarded the men around him for a moment, "and uh, we are the sort of men you can simply pay off."

    "Another attempt at bribery?" Nowak raised an eyebrow, "I do hear that you're the woman to speak with if a someone wants a night to remember." The guard took the weapons and wrapped them in a small piece of leather. "You'll understand if we have to search you regardless."

    A single, clear thought pierced through the creature's mind. "Kill it?"

    "We'll have to seize them during your stay here. You understand that, right?" "Oh yes," Fischer stepped forward, hand on the hilt of his blade. "You'll be lucky if you can keep your head when we're done with you." Nowak thrust his arm out to stop the younger man, "you'll be taken into custody, and you're fate will be decided through a just court of law."

    "Yes, let's." Caden told his wife, looking relieved.

    "Says the woman who attempted to access the Raveness's personal storage closet." Nowak folded his arms, "we've had our eyes on you ever since, Ms. Nordy. We have not liked what we've seen." "Don't matter to me, but the palace is under tighter security." The guard shouted something inaudible that seemed to cause clattering behind the gate before it creaked open just enough for two men to step out. "Just means we'll be searching you."

    "Lying? I'm not-" He cleared his throat, "why would I lie?"

    "Yes, the puppies." Caden nodded, not meeting his wife's eyes. "That is the precise, and only reason we're going out shopping this fine morning."

    "Resisting arrest?" Fischer asked far too eagerly right before Nowak placed a hand on his chest, pushing him back softly. The sergeant continued, "you will be tried through the due process of the law."

    "An emissary? You aren't expected." "Are you sure she's still in here?" The older sergeant asked as he raised a hand, signaling for the four men around him to get form around the door leading to the medical center, preparing to enter. The young man who positioned himself immediately opposite of the sergeant nodded, an intensity causing his stare to burn whatever he looked at. "No one has seen her leave, she must be in there, sir." Sergeant Nowak nodded, "moving in on three." Fischer took in a breath just as the sergeant started counting down, letting his eyes close for a moment to draw in the focus that he would need for this. He couldn't give in to his anger again, now that so many were nearby. His breath caught in his throat just as Nowak shouted for the men to move, shoving open the door, with their blades drawn as they scanned the room, Fischer's eyes landing on Allivia sitting next to Nico. The need to rush forward and shove aside that woman surged through him, but he bit his tongue to keep himself focused, the sharp pain piercing through the anger that clouded his mind. He hardly heard the words that Nowak spoke. "Allivia Nordy, under authority of the Praetorium Guard, we place you under arrest for charges of assault, and bribery."
