  1. "Eh, the ink rubs off after a few days, giving me plenty of time to etch the information onto a wall, or floor, or any convenient surface really. Except don't use a needle to write in the skin, then it stays for longer than a few day; can't reuse the surface if the ink is permanent. I only ever write onto the skin. Make sense?"
  2. "Ayy, now that was unnecessary" Silk said as he righted himself and dusted of his jacket. "And put that glove back on, or you'll give these kids nightmares." He turned to Fred and whispered "It's okay, his pits are a lot prettier than his hands."
  3. "Yeah yeah, I'll send one of my boys back there to retrieve it. Hopefully before anyone else gets their hands on it."
  4. Drae blinked "Well, if you do ever run out of pages, then you can write on your skin so you don't loose your thoughts while you are pageless. It's a trick I learnt during a time where I couldn't afford paper and ink, so I just bought ink. But now I can't afford paper or ink, so I just keep everything in my head and pray to the survivor that I do not forget it." Not that I think anything worth remembering these days.
  5. "Exactly" "Actually this place is very similar to Kelsier's armpits. I saw them once....and smelt them." Silk wrinkled his nose at the thought.
  6. Jahora crossed his limbs and clenched his jaw I need a drink "You lost my file." he complained to Rose "I worked hard putting that thing together."
  7. "Yeah, I know what you mean" Silk said quietly, rocking slightly to the rhythm of cart rolling along the rails and focusing on the comforting feeling of air on his skin. The voice chirpy voice of the twin boys brought him out of his trance. "Memories. Surely you know what a memory is."
  8. "Ha! my wonderful life is only a recent discovery, don't let it deceive me into a false sense of stability." He shifted in his seat and shoved his now sweaty hands into his pocket I'm really going to have to commit to this now. I've been waiting to get to this point for years, why do I suddenly fear regret. "Unfortunately, the last info I recieved of Selene is months old, she was visiting a family member, probably a parent. But she could be anywhere in the city by now. What I am certain of is that she hasn't left the city. A tree can't relocate if its too deeply rooted into the soil."
  9. Jahora dropped himself into one of the room's armchairs "Oh my parents are good people, just misguided in some instances. When I found a way to give back to them, they got umm, a tad excited....regrettably excited. It is a good story, maybe I'll tell it to you someday." Jahora smiled in agreement.
  10. Jahora nodded and offered Kess the tray. "Proud parents aren't necessarily a good thing ya know. I made my parents proud once, it didn't really end too well."
  11. "Ha! I didn't know a deity could by scared of the dark. I bet even these twin boys have outgrown that." Silks heart released a little tension with the knowledge that he was not alone in a stone pit again.
  12. Jahora laughed, feeling a healthy sense of triumph as he handed a pie to Rose. He turned to Kess, "I'm sure you'll get plenty of opportunity to make your parents proud in the days to come."
  13. I'm a lurcher (according to a random misting test I took) Yay. If only I could access my supposed powers...
  14. Jahora narrowed his eyes and peered mischievously back at Rose. "Beliefs can be deceitful. I want you to kill Selene; There, is that a better attitude?" Still staring at Rose, he reached out and grabbed the tray of pies from the nearby table, he held out the tray below Rose's nose and smiled "Would you like one?" He asked.
  15. "Well, I saw our eyes contract in fear. I've seen you feint on the ground. I've seen you cry." He paused for a moment, and took a deep breath in "Obviously, you are human, like me. And any human that has been beaten down as bad as you is worth helping. You are worth more than you think, Rose." Then he closed his eyes and continued and confessed "helping someone the way I was helped, is the least I can do to amend for previous mistakes of mine; this isn't just about you." Plus, I don't even want to think about what you could become if help doesn't get to you soon, he nodded subtly in Kieran's direction.
  16. yep, in year 7 before I discovered how socially awkward I am. It wasn't the most clique-y clique, buuut eh. Also my old gymnastics team was totally a clique, but I never really fitted in with them, and that was separate from school. TPBM plays minecraft regularly.
  17. Jahora's head tilted in sympathy for Rose, he took a step back from her respecting her distance. "Rose, you may want to be alone now, but tomorrow, or in later days to come, you'll likely need someone to help you; and we'll be here. I can't leave you like this, I have a conscience you know." He then turned to Kieran and said "You can leave Rose in peace if you want, but could you please stay near my shop here. I don't want you running around my slums with that power of yours, partially because there are some depressed thoughts out there, and partially because I don't want you accidentally hurting someone again"
  18. *insert white guy blinking*
  19. Are you personifying something? This confusion party is great. I am so terribly and utterly confused right now. Thank you for confusing me.
  20. Huh? What is it? Do you mean the confusion party has teeth made of glass and eyes made of coal? Hmmmm
  21. Yay, confusion party!
  22. Silk grinned at the boys "Maybe I only know three words, I prefer talking with my hands anyway" he said. He shoved his hands into his jacket pockets to fingered the keys that he'd stolen from a few careless people in the lobby. His heart skipped and his lips tightened as he surveyed his surroundings, surrounded by stone, he hated being surrounded by stone; he wouldn't of been surprised if his paler-than-usual skin was showing in the dim light.
