The whole house was decked out in reds and greens of every shade. Blankets, pillowcases, and even couch cushions had been replaced with ones of festive colors. Lights were strung across the roof of the cabin, and the light shone through the pure white snow with an almost magical elegance. The hill behind the house had been well-used for sledding, and the nearby pond was completely frozen over, perfect for ice skating. By the front door were piles of wet snow clothes that some Fellowshippers had left there to dry, and a bright, warm fire was crackling in the hearth. Plenty of mugs of hot cocoa had been prepared, and cold hands clutched the warm mugs. Mistletoe hung in certain areas, easy enough to avoid if that wasn't something you'd want, but also easy to "accidentally" end up underneath at the same time as your special someone. Queen lingered near one such place, inconspicuously stepping directly underneath it once Fadran entered the room.
"Merry Christmas indeed!" she said with a grin.
