Azmine, Archer, Araris, Devotary, Jondesu, Alvron, Drake, RandBy, whiffle, attic, Yeet, quill all haven't been on since Dannex's post at the top of page 3. A little close on Archer and Devotary though. So at least one Elim isn't in this group

Well, unless they show their hand with Mipha Illwei dies and the Kohga power dies with it. Even if they don't go for you, she'd use it to avoid wasting a kill on Daruk or a redirect or something. Well, I'd say let Zelda do their thing... but that's just me. So there. ... define scanproof? So there's another Elim on! Thank you, that's good to know.

That's kind of the point of the Kohga ability....

I think the named roles are all unique. But that's not said anywhere (aside from Link and Zelda), and I wouldn't put it past Striker to change that up.

Er... thanks! Ethical dilemmas are something I can spy pretty easily, although I seem to worry about it more than most. And now if Archer's bugging you you can just tell him so? ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ I wouldn't qualify it as "too chaotic", because doing... something like that is relatively on-brand for you. I just thought the tone of it all was more standoffish than you usually are (or usually are when you're not under direct attack). Of course, the only main one to say something similar was Mat, and I'm still not sure what to think about Mat...

I didn't have much of anything to say, and I've found that just-woke-up-Ashbringer is really bad at thinking logically. And I could tell it was still nowhere near a tie, and that would need a... very suspicious amount of vote manip to change around. So I essentially decided to keep my mouth shut and see what happened at rollover. I honestly don't know if the Elims want Beedle dead, so it doesn't mean too much to me at the moment.

Kas Wallpost didn't take long I guess that's not too bad, for a laid-back wallpost...

Archer had a vote on Steel until about 20 minutes before Kas added his. So... maybe that's what Mat meant? That is unusual to see swaps like that, but more like the Illwei-unusual of "this is rare to see, ever" than "this seems like Elim behavior". Then again, that's still not much of a train. I've got a null on both Steel and Pyro... I'll hold to my statement of breaking a tie if need to, but for now I'll stay out.

I'm not sure where it started, but Illwei gets nicknames often, and I'm pretty sure Kas using that one isn't too new.

The point I’m trying to make against Archer telling [Beedle] what to do would be directly undermined by Ashbringer telling Archer what to do. I’m just saying what would make me feel better. … this would turn very ironic if I was Beedle.

Well, if 1/3 of all players are vanilla, not long at all @Archer (sorry, on mobile and can’t find the post) - I’d advise just saying in thread which is more important, getting correct info or getting the item you want. That way Beedle knows at least which you value more. Further relief would be obtained by not asking for a super powerful item and saying explicitly that you don’t care about the item in question, but that’s a lot to ask seeing as I’m the only one concerned mostly just be aware of what pressure you may be putting on Beedle.

Ummmm...? This isn't role madness... there are vanillas. By someone's math way back at the start, there are about fifteen vanillas: four elim, eleven village. I’m not really big on guessing how many vanillas there are. Guessing role distribution has (almost) never gone well from what I remember. But I know Striker likes his role madnesses, and from what I remember from the rules the non-Link, non-Zelda Named Roles aren’t guarunteed to be unique. So I want to wait and see on vanillas. I’m not going to vote TUO for it, yet, but it’s marked.

Beetle’s Autonomy isn’t affected by Archer’s plan on Hot Footed Frog (although player autonomy is, but that’s another story and in my mind a lesser issue because, well, alignment scan). Archer’s plan on “if something goes wrong, deny my item request” does, because it ties an objective plan between Beedle and Zelda to specifically Archer’s item request. If Archer requests a durian, for example, then Beedle has to decide whether to fill the request as a Y/N for “did Plan Frog work” OR “I want a durian”, and may feel obligated to give it to Archer for the sake of the message as opposed to who Beedle thinks deserves it. Essentially I don’t want Beedle being forced to give out items, as a message system or otherwise. Requests as messages are fine (ish), but the filling of requests should stay up to Beedle. That’s their role.

Okay, that one I have no idea why I wrote that Or rather, I meant several-time-Elim and the metaness about you being Elim 4-5 times in a row. Why I said "champion" I have no idea. Edit: To some degree, I know. That's why you're in Null... part of what I see makes me want to trust you, part of it is weirding me out. But I'm not sure what it is yet. ... I feel like demanding Beedle grant or deny items removes most of the point of giving them a role, instead of having a standard shop. Let Beedle have their Autonomy. Can we get a correct vote count, if Mat's is wrong?

Faleast strode forward. Someone had pointed out he'd changed shape... which, he'd been careful about. Not many people could sneak up on him, but this was a new place with new rules. He'd still have to figure them out. But in the meantime... "Navi, please," he said smoothly. "These identities are new for all of us, and I simply felt I needed to make some... adjustments to how I appeared. Blonde hair doesn't suit me so well, evidently, and the nose..." he adjusted a fake nose, before re-sealing it to his face. "Well, I wanted to look my best despite the circumstances." He was proud of this, if AraRaash had his doubts. Thick black hair that drifted in an odd way, covering the back of his head, theoretically covering the various oddities that the races of Hyrule had. Over his eyes was a white mask, then the false nose, and face painted with an off-white color. They'd be able to tell he wasn't a Rito - he wasn't sure how that bird was trying to hide himself - but hopefully the rest was sufficiently ambiguous. Of course, he stood out like a Moblin on Hyrule Field. But this time, that was the point. He stood out, people looking at the obvious disguises. Hopefully they would keep trying to pierce that... maybe they would succeed. But he doubted they would be able to pierce beneath that. Then again... there seemed to be many people with those skills. There were other kandra about in Hyrule. How, he had no idea. But he intended to find out. I am of the opinion that role-claiming is bad, unless in VERY specific circumstances. Mainly if you're going to get executed and are a role that the Village really does not want executed (Zelda/Link/Beedle... could make arguments for others I suppose. Depends if roles like Mipha are unique or not, which we're not going to learn). Again, I do not like this frog plan. At all. There are many players as Elims who would try and grab a frog to disrupt the plan and confuse Beedle. There are also many (not as many, but Araris, for instance) players who would likely, being Zelda, refuse to participate. If these two happen to coincide, then we have Beedle, who most of us agree is likely Village, convinced that an Elim is our confirmed Village alignment scanner. That is incredibly bad. And I'm pretty sure Striker and Bip could have pulled an E!Beedle, depending on who the player is they could either be subtle about it or supercharge the Elims, in which case the Elims have been rooting for this plan from the start. Could it work? Probably. But it's more of a gamble then people are thinking, and that's a really high risk. (@Archer, I did see your response to my original post on this, and yeah, those are the scenarios. While I agree that Zelda doing it is "probably" most likely, there is a chance Link still follows through, or a Villager who wants to double their action, or Zelda doesn't do it, or an Elim does for confusion... there are too many ways for it to go wrong because with literally anyone involved, there's just too many variables.) Also, I just want to note the oddity of PMs this game. It's not open PMs, so if Beedle does find Zelda or Zelda finds a bunch of villagers, it's not a guarantee that they'll be able to communicate. But at the same time, each Postman can open one PM each turn and they last until the Postman dies, which would probably be a while, and we seem to have a few going around already. Slight reads, because I need to do that more: Village: Archer (while I don't like the plan, it's got few flaws and he gets Village points for proposing it) Slight Village: Pyro (knowing the pair of us, this is dangerous... but Pyro's been clear about asking questions. It's an easy way to gain village points, but Null: [Insert literally everyone else] Mat (Mat is being... odd. Not entirely sure why I think that, at the moment. As for the several-time-champion... I will say, fudging alignments isn't something that's done often, but is done. I'd do the best to ignore that though, as basing things like that is metagaming... I will say, note that his past games were Elim in terms of Mat's-doing-something-new-ness.) Slight Elim: Illwei (being chaotic is normal, but this... this feels disagreeable, which is odd. Reading thinking E!Beedle is Elim, hard-claiming Zelda... that whole post did not sound like her. I've thought that before, but it's what I've got.
