Status update: Not dead.

I was just driving home, and had to stop where there wasn’t a stop sign in the middle of the road because I was turning left and cars were going down the other side of the road

(That was clunkily explained, but if you know you know I guess)

The road in question is one lane each way, 50mph, a small amount of shoulder. I’ve never had to stop at the turn before, but no big deal, right?

Queue me glancing in my side mirror to see a semi truck taking up all available mirror space, hurtling towards me at 50mph. Legitimately thought I was about to die, squished under eighteen wheels.

The truck blew past me, taking up the entire available shoulder and the small part of lane I wasn’t in. Maybe a foot in between my side mirror and the truck, and they never slowed down. I guess truck drivers really know what they’re doing, but… I sure didn’t know that :P. Still very shaken up from that moment of seeing it in the mirror.

But I didn’t die, so that’s good.
