    After a while the canyon walls began to shrink and they eventually came to a dirt road. "I'm guessing that leads to the village?"

    They passed some trees and the river came into view. "That's really pretty." Mike grinned at Erin. "It reminds me of someone I know."

    Mike grabbed Erin's hand and began to walk down the canyon.

    Miked pointed to their left, where the canyon sloped slightly downwards. "Sooo...that way?"

    Mike looked up the canyon wall. "Do you think we can go up that way?"

    "I- nevermind." He didn't want to think about the fact that mere hours ago he had tried to kill himself. "We should get back to the village so you can get some rest."

    Mike paused, then replied in a more serious tone. "Okay, I'll try my best. For you."

    "Okay." The playful grin remained on his face. Mike kissed them once more.

    "Fine, you're right." Mike said with a smirk on his face. He kissed Erin again.

    Mike simply smiled. "Yes it is." He kissed Erin quickly, cutting off their reply.

    Mike decided not to argue with her about the supposed curse. "And you saved me. So I'd say we're even." Mike smiled.

    Mike thinks back to their time in the forest. "No Erin, you could never fail me. It was...the most wonderful thing."

    Oh no, what did I say? "Hey, it's okay Erin. I'm here with you." He pulled them into a tight embrace.
