Ayia sighed audibly, but couldn't hold back a grin. "What do you know about morale and whatnot?" "You couldn't have my powers unless you'd want to undergo an extremely painful--and frankly unethical--procedure."

"Very helpful." Adrienne puffed out a breath and leaned her head out the window, staring into the roughs dejectedly.

Ayia swallowed a bite of food and frowned. "Have any of you guys ever been in a commanding position?"

"Heh. Doctors." Ayia snorted and started digging into her food.

"Oh, I... don't do much of that. I mostly just use my magical bridge cable."

"You're making it sound like you're considering hiring me."

Ayia punched her in the arm. "I've broken heaps of bones. You tend to get good at it when your skillset revolves around moving at high speeds and jumping off of buildings."

"You broke your nose?" Ayia asked, turning into the 'cafeteria' with several plates of food.

"Getting that you're a horrible person? I knew that from the start. Bad people can do good things, but that doesn't make them good."

Adrienne pinched the bridge of her nose, nodding her head downwards. "Ugh... all my friends thought I was crazy when I said I didn't like you in the books..."

"Well you aren't giving me any options! You're expecting me to have some grand bargaining chip that I clearly have no means of producing."
