    Selil didn't have anything to say. He seemed a little... taken aback. And he wasn't caught off-guard often. "Huh." He bowed one last time. "Well, whatever you say. As you were." With that, Selil vanished.

    Ayia grabbed Queen's wrist, giving it a reassuring--albeit tight--squeeze. "Seriously. Don't worry. I've got my Line and stuffs. We'll be fine."

    "And what's that?"

    "It wouldn't do a Dark Lord well to stay uninformed." He shrugged. "Knowing peoples' deepest, darkest secrets is something of a hobby of mine."

    "You're probably right." Elya bobbed her head a little. "But, then again, our own group isn't exactly a likely gathering."

    "Oh, I wasn't referring to him at all." Selil shook his head. "In fact if you were, I doubt anyone would be holding you in quite a regard."

    "'Big plane for lots of stuff,'" Ayia translated for Queen.

    Elya passed him a bowl. "Perhaps we should find a Lifegiver to join us."

    "Oh dear. Don't let me accompany you there." Selil bowed again, but didn't leave for a second. Something was nagging on his mind. "You know... I was in love myself, once." He crossed his arms and turned his gaze away.

    "Wonderful." Selil smiled back, winking at the creature. "Well, I was just curious. Unless you'd like me to stay and chat, I can be on my way."

    "Perfectly understandable." He bowed to her respectfully. "Anyways, I'm just here because, as Dark Lord and an empath like no other, I sensed a lot of emotion around here: mostly hatred, but with a surprising amount of arousal." Selil glanced at the decapitated head. "And I believe I have categorized the two correctly?"

    Selil breathed heavily. He looked it in the eyes. "I'm not here to harm your mistress." He said carefully.

    "Then--maybe--" Selil started glancing strikes aside with his gauntlets. "Make him--stop! Please!"

    Elya smiled a little, then quietly ate her food.

    Selil reacted with inhuman speed, ducking aside and slamming a gauntlet-covered fist into the creature's face. Out of the goodness of his heart, he didn't draw a blade.

    "Dear me." Selil said, emerging from the shadows. "That was violent."

    "You were badly injured on my behalf." Elya blew away a bit of steam. "Consider me a loyal ally as a repayment."

    "You're welcome." She carried out the last two bowls for Ne'ik and herself, sitting down on her cot to eat. "And thank you, Lyanor, for coming to my aid yesterday."

    "You're welcome." Elya dished out the first few bowls, handing them to Saaphir to give out to the others.

    "Exactly." She started taking out some bowls and silverware. "That's why it was impressive."

    "Ten minutes to untie one knot?" Elya turned her gaze back towards the food. "There you are."

    "Pride doesn't even begin to describe it, dear Elgiloy." Selil steepled his fingers. "It's euphoric."
