Just so you know, I've installed some new cameras around the clinic, so I'd advise you to watch yourself trying to start that resistance you're planning." Lark nods. "Off you go then. Collect your books and deliver them to the library. My people will be there to collect them."

    Lark looked at Haly calmly. "Was that a complaint that I heard? Do you want a two-day ban?"

Lark handed Thaidakar a piece of paper that read: By the order of the new head doctor Lark, a few changes must be made, effective immediately: First, all Sanderson books must turned over to the clinic staff to be placed in the library as a reward for good behavior. Professing a liking for Elend Venture is now punishable by a week-long ban from the library. Talking back to the staff or complaining about treatment is now punishable by a two-day ban from the library. Hiding a Sanderson book is punishable by a month-long library ban and a week in the brand-new solitary ward.     Lark reaches into his pocket, slowly pulling out a scroll with a rather odd seal on it. "Are you sure about that Thaidakar?"

    Lark snorted. "As if you could. Honestly Thaidakar, your performance as a member of the staff here has not been impressive lately. I have half a mind to remove you from the faculty."

    Lark disdainfully brushed Haly's hand aside. "My name is Lark. Pleasure to meet you, I'm the one who's in charge around here." "Yes, the pager system. And the phone system. And the magical alert system. All of it is under my control."

    "Of course not. He's too busy galivanting off in other dimensions to pay any attention to what happens here." Lark's smile widened. "And now that I've hacked his pager system so that he'll never get any message warning him things have gone wrong here, he won't know until it's too late. This clinic is mine."

    Lark grinned. "Yes it is. You're smarter than I thought. I might even keep you around once I finish transforming this place."

    Lark's chuckles turned to laughs. "Why would I want to leave?" In a flash, both he and Thaidakar were in the lobby of the clinic. "Why indeed?"

    Lark smiled. "Yes indeed. Something has changed. Something very important." He chuckled softly.

    Turns out that the Beyond had access to Nameless' prison, so Wizblood Demise went there.

    He replied in the affirmative, to which the little man laughed and asked him a question. "If you're a god, then why have the Narrators already fixed all the damage you did?"

    Wizblood Demise ended the argument by killing Demise with his awesome third phase that was even better than Demise's second phase.
