I honestly hope no one in Bridge 4 dies, but it's become such a big symbol and group that I don't see anyone NOT dying, sadly. I personal don't think it'll have anything to do with the 4th ideal, I think that'll tie in more with Kaladin's parents, but I do think Kaladin would be there in the even that one of them dies

This is really just a discussion for everyone to add their ideas onto, but to get it started off: Whether a member dies while fighting the fused, a freak accident, or while protecting someone else, the most likely candidates for who I think will kick the bucket in Bridge 4 would have to be Lopen, Rock, and Teft. While I don't necessarily think they'll have to die in order for Kaladin to swear the 4th ideal, I do think their deaths could be his breaking point. And if there's anything that Sanderson likes to do with characters, it's break them. After working so hard to protect Bridge 4 and essentially bring them out of the trenches, it would tear Kaladin apart to see one of them die- or even get injured as we saw in Words of Radiance with Hobber. So while that's true, the most impactful deaths for the reader would be a character that we've been the given the chance to get to know. And so that brings my first candidate, Lopen. I have to say that he is the most probable character for me as of now. Lopen is sort of like a class-clown in Bridge 4 in that he tends to mess and joke around much more than the others, and so it would come as a shock to the readers to suddenly have him cut down and die, leaving a hole in Bridge 4. Without Lopen, they'd be out of a serious need for laughter and light-heartedness and anyone who knows Bridge 4's story knows that that's something they desperately need. Next up is Rock, but I will admit that I don't think Sanderson will kill Rock- at least not in the first half of the books. The biggest reason he just made my list is because of how much it would hurt the readers. Rock has been a big figure in Bridge 4 since the beginning, and with just that it would make his death heartbreaking. But adding on to how we were able to meet his family in Oathbringer and seeing just how much he cares about everyone around him with the chapters from his point-of-view, the readers would definitely be in tears. Add on the possibility of him dying while trying to tell Kaladin about the Horneater Peaks (of which he always told Kaladin he'd bring him to) and Sanderson has a whole fanbase weeping. Now is the time for Teft. Teft's death seems both logical and inevitable to me. He served as a friend and leader to Bridge 4 and was a major reason for them getting as strong as they currently are with him helping to train them. The only person to play a bigger role in the rehabilitation of Bridge 4 is Kaladin, and Kaladin himself holds high respect for Teft. Bottom line, his death would be devastating to the moral of Bridge 4. Without Teft, I'm not entirely sure how Bridge 4 would carry on. Everything they would do would remind them that Teft isn't there as it was Teft who helped to train them with the spear, first told them of the Radiant powers with Kaladin, and essentially acted as a grumpy uncle. That's all from me. Tell me what you guys think! How would the other members react to one of their own dying? What would it mean for the story? HOW do you think they'd die?

Do Adolin and Renarin know the truth?
Firebolt-101 replied to Kelsier'sGodComplex's topic in Stormlight Archive
I agree, if anyone who wasn't there had to know about what happened it would definitely be Renarin. I honestly think this could be backed by how he acts in the books, as he always seems standoffish whenever around family- counting Dalinar. A lot of people picked up on how he acted and it was written off for a number of reasons (anxiety, a feeling of unworthiness, Renarin just being Renarin, etc.) but I think that if he found out about Evi it would explain it very nicely as it means he was hiding things form his entire family and by now we all now how capable he is of that. How he found out would be the most interesting to me. With Dalinar's memories returned I'm sure he would remember if he sat down and told Renarin, meaning he had to have either overhead it, been told by an outside source, or just put the pieces together. However, my personal hc is that Dalinar told Renarin when he was very drunk. Maybe it could explain the scene in Oathbringer when young Renarin brought Dalinar drinks? As for why he never confronted Dalinar, I feel like it would be part of a sense of duty to not tell everyone and a bit a fear. He did just lose his mom, and I'm assuming even the Alethi court wouldn't just let Dalinar walk away from what happened at the Rift if they knew. -
Honestly I would love it if Lirin turned out to be a worldhopper who settled down in Roshar. I think it would add more weight to his advice than just his experience as a surgeon if he went through similar ordeals to Kaladin's. Also I think it would show how much he loves his family if he's willing to truly settle down and raise his kids with Hesina, essentially giving up worldhopping- really the possibilities are just about endless.

How is Skyward Related to Sanderson's Other Works?
Firebolt-101 replied to Firebolt-101's topic in Cytoverse
Yeah, at the beginning I got kind of ahead of myself but I made sure to correct it at the end. Sorry about that -
Excuse my rambling nature, but this is something that I have thought about since I first finished Skyward and now that I've joined the 17th shard I would like to see what the community has to say about it. Please keep in mind that as of right now the only books I've read by Sanderson are the Stormlight Archive books and Skyward, so I will most definitely be missing information. If someone who has more experience would add on, I would be very grateful. Also please note that this will have spoilers for both the Stormlight Archive and Skyward. Okay, so my theory essentially boils down to the Stormlight Archive and Skyward being connected in that they were both involved in the war between humans and aliens. As anyone who's finished Skyward would know, the characters are being imprisoned on a planet for their role in a massive war that the humans lost. They are considered dangerous and uncivilized and so the Krell are ordered to not let them leave the planet. And while this seems like a completely different concept than that of the Stormlight Archive (a fantasy series that shies away from anything even close to the technology represented in Skyward), I can't help but see the similarities. My best evidence for this comes from the Dawnchant that was translated in Oathbringer. So this is essentially saying that the first humans to come to Roshar came as refugees because their lands were destroyed. And in Skyward, the humans have been left on Detritus because of them leaving Earth and eventually getting involved in wars. Though I will say that another snippet of information that has caught my attention is the use pf metal in both books. In Skyward, metal parts routinely fall from the sky due to the massive debris layer covering the sky. In Oathbringer, it is also revealed by Tarvangian that a special material has been used in the creation of Half-Shards (the only shield that can withstand the hit of a shardblade). I don't remember what chapter this is from in Oathbringer, otherwise I'd look it up for the full quote, but if any does please let me know. If the people in Skyward and the Stormlight Archive were connected through a common link to Earth, there would be no way for them to know as the desolations wiped out human knowledge so thoroughly in the SA that the only credible sources of their history comes from documents like the Dawnchant. Really the only thing that I can find that doesn't add up to this is the timeline and how Skyward isn't a part of the Cosmere. So obviously I know this isn't accurate to the stories and the connection isn't there, but I couldn't help but see similarities and I thought I'd share.

Sanderson did say Doomslug eats mushrooms.......

I think M-bot's previous pilot might have been fleeing from the other humans. Maybe they no longer wanted to fight and knew that M-bot would be taken away if they were discovered? I agree with the scout ship theory, but I feel like having M-bot's previous pilot be a "coward" would fit more into Spin's story line.

I'm honestly so looking forward to when Kaladin and Moash get to meet again, especially since they're on opposite sides. I'm curious to know what Moash's reaction will be; will he be outraged and gladly fight Kaladin? Try to keep the friendship going? Or maybe he'll even try to recruit Kaladin. No matter which way it goes there's gonna be some big development on Kaladin's part.

immortal words Oath Four Revealed?
Firebolt-101 replied to Lord Mistborn Bondbreaker's topic in Stormlight Archive
I feel like if any member of Bridge Four were to end up dying, it would most likely be Lopen. He is one that the readers wouldn't expect to die.- 51 replies

The Stormlight Archive FIGHT NIGHT
Firebolt-101 replied to DylanStormblessed's topic in Stormlight Archive
*Spoilers for Words of Radiance* I want to see Jasnah fight Mraize, since he's the leader of the group that's been terrorizing her for so long and I also want to get an idea of what abilities Mraize has as I really don't believe his skills stop with just possessing a shard blade. While I'm not sure if he's a radiant, I do think he could hold his own while fighting against one.- 14 replies

The Stormlight Archives Addicts
Firebolt-101 replied to DylanStormblessed's topic in Introduce Yourself!
My favorite character would have to be Kaladin, but Rock and Renarin are close seconds! So far I'm completely caught up in the Stormlight Archive and I absolutely can't wait for the next book . The next book by Sanderson that I'll read is most likely going to be Mistborn.- 21 replies

That's what I've been thinking will happen- maybe she'll find her way to Urithiru or they'll reunite after a battle somewhere?

This album is dedicated to my art inspired by the Stormlight Archive. Mainly, it will be of official art that I've recreated for practice or of original fanart that I've made. Hope you guys enjoy!
