  1. Granted. The sky is falling, but no one believes you. I wish for the ability to control the shapes of clouds.
  2. Gets a picture of the Family Guy death pose. Inserts a penny.
  3. I’ll trade it for a pillowcase, pillow not included. I’ve got a jar of dirt.
  4. I absolutely adore that movie! I feel like hardly anyone has seen it. The consistency with and accuracy to the actual game was really impressive (and breaking the rules a bit for the graveyard interview scene was definitely worth it). I’d have to say Breath of the Wild. It’s just all around incredible. I love Skyrim too, but it’s far less polished (glitches make it better sometimes, though!). What’s your favorite type of food?
  5. Thanks for following me!

  6. “I don’t think that he wants to understand it. Oftentimes people prefer taking the easy route. If they’re angry, then they don’t have to face their grief. Sometimes that can be relatively harmless. It’s alright to be mad at a murderer. Sometimes it isn’t harmless. Sometimes people like Roy let their ire escalate into misguided violence.” She pulled out a dagger and balanced it on a finger, focusing on its tip. ”His violence is directed at the wrong target. Redirecting that fury is beyond my abilities. All I can do is ensure that he never gets the opportunity to do more harm.” She grinned. It somehow seemed like her smile was too wide for her face. ”I am very good at being frightening. It helps to scare away cowards like Roy.” Behind her, the wall was painted with black on black. The differences in shades were subtle, but they were distinct enough to reveal a haunting depiction. Rows upon rows of souls. Those that still resembled humans were contorted in positions of pain or fear, some with gaping mouths and others huddling on the ground. They were surrounded by indistinct shapes. On a first glance, they seemed to be flames. On another, they became blades. Tartarus. The land of the damned.
  7. “You didn’t make me angry. Roy did.” Jenny said that with a sense of finality. ”Besides, it’s ok to be angry sometimes. It’s not all that bad. I like helping people. Sometimes that means being upset.” She sat down in a chair, resting her elbows on her knees. ”As a child of Hades, I’m familiar with balance. With all life must come death. With all joy must come pain. There can’t be one without the other. Sometimes, the only way to set the scales right is to hurt someone.”
  8. “Not consciously.” She turned away from the mirror and sighed. ”It happens when I’m angry. The shadows get mad too. I just don’t get angry very often. I’ve heard of other Hades kids controlling them more directly, though.”
  9. “It was my pleasure.” Jenny wasn’t a liar, so she meant exactly what she said. With a final knot, she finished her improvised bandages. Looking in the cabin’s mirror, she noticed that a lock of hair had fallen out of her bun. She tucked it back into place. ”Tell me if he hurts you again.” This wasn’t a request; it was a command.
  10. Wordlessly, Jenny let her arm drop as the liar fled. The Gift left its sword form and returned to Edgar. The shadows that had encircled her dispersed with a faint sigh. She quickly fetched some spare black strips of fabric and started to wrap one around Edgar’s forearm wound. Her brow was creased with worry. It looked like it had hurt. @Weaver of Lights

  12. Jenny didn’t believe the liar. Shadows began to gather around her, almost becoming solid. Her dagger became a sword. She pointed it at the door. ”Out. Now.”
  13. Jenny found a gleaming dagger in her hand. She smiled briefly. Not in happiness, but in satisfaction. She walked closer to Roy and leaned over him. Her eyes were empty. They weren’t glassy this time, however. They were iron. She held the dagger to his throat. ”You. Leave. HIM. ALONE.” In one fluid motion, she withdrew her dagger and tried to stomp on his foot. It almost sounded like she was growling.
  14. Jenny was stunned. Roy had done this? Roy had said he had forgiven him. That meant Roy was a liar. Jenny hated liars. Her grip on the door tightened until the wood under her hand began to splinter slightly. He had hurt Edgar. Without hesitation, Jenny attempted to punch Roy in the face. Hard.
  15. Jenny opened the door to find Edgar crying and hurt. He had cuts on his arm and legs. “Edgar, what happened? Are you okay?” Her voice was laced with concern and fear. Had there been an accident? Had someone hurt him?

  17. That sight was going to be very helpful. Jenny wasn’t all too confident in her aiming abilities. She peered through it, aiming the blowgun at various other campers. ”Please be careful. I don’t want you to get hurt before I can incapacitate them.” Aaron’s plant stuff was also going to be helpful. If he could get them held in place for a moment, she could paralyze them before they broke free. ”I’m not sure who we should send… Maybe one of the other people on our team is a fast runner? The paralysis doesn’t last forever, so campers are going to start moving again before we can get them all.”
  18. “Both, maybe? The ideal is to hit campers before they notice us to prevent them from getting anything done, but it’s also effective if you want someone to stop swinging a sword at you. We could stay near our flag, since that would give us the best chance at finding a good place to hide without having to sneak past anyone.” Jenny practiced aiming with the blowgun a bit while she talked. She was tempted to test how far she could launch a dart, but then remembered the catapult incident and realized that would probably get her banned from using darts.
  19. “Of course!” Jenny had been hoping he’d want to stay with her. She didn’t really know what she was doing, in all honesty. She hardly knew where the flags were even supposed to be and was only reasonably certain that you weren’t allowed to kill anyone. She’d have no idea which campers were the best options for paralyzing.
  20. That was a nice way of looking at the story. Jenny did like winter. It was a relief that she wouldn’t need to poison this guy so he didn’t strangle her with a vine. Demeter kids had threatened her with that before. She gently picked one of the pea blossoms and put it in a pocket, then thanked the plant for it. ”All I’ve got is some paralysis poison, so I can try and incapacitate some bigger threats. It won’t last forever, though. You’d need to drink the whole bottle for that.” She held up the vial and swished the contents around. ”We’ll have about one to fifteen minutes without needing to worry about them each time I can hit them with a dart.” She held up the blowgun next to the vial. ”Oh, and I’m Jenny. Been here five years. You already know who my dad is.” @Weaver of Lights
