    Kay, that's what I thought, but then I started to doubt myself. Star quickly wondered if mind control was allowed, before realizing that Shadow was a Narrator too and likely would be able to withstand her control. She really couldn't do this like Thought... But she could do it like AJ. Star summoned a gun to her hand and shot Shadow in the chest. Repeatedly. If by chance, Shadow survived, Star put up a forcefield. And there was also the other thing. Those bullets were not quite ordinary.

    "This isn't life, Gancho. This is TLT." Shadow, do you have two swords or just one that's being held in both hands?

    "Yes, but I can tell you right now that neither Shadow nor I would want that. We want this to be fair."

    Star folded her arms, waiting for Shadow. "Yeah, that's not allowed."

    Yes, Star thought to Xino. It's a duel and there's no outside help allowed.

    That's all right. I'll be on for the next hour, then I'll be gone for an hour, and then I'm home-free. Because Art Club. I love Art Club. Star blocked the strike with her Shardspear. @BringerofShadows

    Star dismissed her spear and got low, blocking the sword with her shield and spinning out of the way. Then, she summoned her spear to her hand again, now fixed.

    Noticing the turn as she jumped, Star knew to be ready when she landed. She intercepted the hatchet with the iron shield on her arm and pushed against it, trying to get in a jab with her spear.

    Star put up a second field for the needle to pass through and got to her feet, wiping the blood off her chin. She ran and jumped, kicking Shadow in the chest, but summoned a shield to her forearm just in case.

    Star stumbled back and quickly put up a forcefield as she regained her footing.

    Star ducked and twirled, elbowing Shadow in the face.

    Star's spear coalesced into her hand and she rushed Shadow, twirling her weapon in her hand. She used the butt of her spear to trip her opponent.

    Okay, that's cool, we can do it now. There will be a small hiatus eventually, but that won't interfere with much. Your move.

    I don't want to have to do this fight-that-is-now-to-the-death during school anyway. 3 and a half hours. Can we agree on that?

    I agree; with some constraints. First: We still have powers, but are not allowed to godmod each other. Second: We're able to die and take damage, with pain. Third: The spectators will decide what powers/moves are or are not legal. Edit: Can we have help from other Narrators?

    "When one is a slightly sociopathic goddess who seeks to learn about human minds by any means necessary, one learns a thing or two." Star cracked her knuckles.

    Hum. Not so timid when he's not faced with me. Go figure. Star smiled. "She doesn't play fair. But then, neither do I..."

    "Indeed. I'd appreciate help."

    "What do you think is going on, darling? We're attacking one another."

    Star melted into smoke, then reformed, floating in the air. She folded her arms. "So we're playing dirty now? I can play dirty." She disappeared from view, her chilling laughter echoing in the chamber.

    "I really don't like it when people mess with my head," Star said angrily, taking the hatchet out of her own skull. Blood dripped down her chin, but she smiled. The floor beneath Shadow's feet began to boil, steam rising from it and Star's opponent began to sink into the searing mass that was the ground.

    The needles melted in Shadow's hand before she could throw them.
