  1. Ember shook her head. "I don't know. But I don't want her already cracked soul to go through anything that could damage her further."
  2. "Not much, actually. Her current location is veiled from my view. But presently I am... worried about her. She is tired. I could sense it while I was in her mind. If this keeps up, she could crash and she's already in great distress."
  3. "About her current situation?"
  4. "I think I understand. But then, that's how I feel about everything, so it seems."
  5. "It is you. I do not find it foreboding. You are what you are. Unless you want to change it?"
  6. Yeah, I just was kinda like, "Eh" on the handle. It's been drawn, let's move on. Hey, that rhymes...
  7. I don't know. She doesn't even use a sword on TLT; she uses a spear.
  8. Well, it's Shardplate so I guess... Ooo, idea. What if Trewee is her spren? Epic.
  9. I freaking hate knees.
  10. Yup. Deal with it.
  11. Ember shrugged. "I suppose. I find it a pleasant sound. Familiar. You make the most sense to me."
  12. Ember waited for her to finish before realizing that she did not intend to. "You have lost much," she said. "I can feel your aura. It is... empty. Like the metallic ringing of a bell signaling an ending."
  13. Ember looked up, a little bit of steam rising from her eyes. "Upset... at me. For hurting you?"
  14. Ember did not get up. She sensed that their encounter had not gone very well, though she could not pin point what it was that went wrong. Was she the one at fault or was Heather just... opposed to her? Her exchanges with Tamika and Star and Tom had gone well enough. Or had they? Ember felt an emptiness in her chest. The human emotion... loneliness. And no one cared about little Ember. She hung her head, feeling an odd tingling at the corners of her eyes.
  15. "Star? Star and Xino left to go find the S version of you. They have not returned."
  16. "My directive is to follow Star. I have already failed, but I will try not to do so again."
  17. "I was created to protect and defend," Ember said in confusion.
  18. Ember blinked, looking over her for a few more seconds. "No," she decided. "I see nothing obvious to indicate the cause of your emotional condition."
  19. Ember, having regrown her armor, walked closer and sat on the floor in front of Heather. She cocked her head, studying her. "You do not look 'fine.'"
  20. "I..." Ember struggled to find words for a moment. "I am sorry," she finally forced out. "I should not have laid a hand against you. I am grateful Tom found a way to heal the wounds I inflicted."
  21. "Excuse me a moment," Ember said. She stood and descended the stairs to go below deck. Following Heather's mental signature, she located the girl she had burned. For a moment, she stared at her through the doorway. Star cared about her. Ember... Ember didn't feel anything. Not really. She did, however, know that she would be loyal to her master. And her master would want her to make up for her previous failure. Perhaps she would be proud of Ember for trying something like this on her own. She stepped, on feet made of iron, a little further into the room. "Heather," she said stiffly.
  22. Thank you! Though, you should see what I'm working on right now...
  23. From the album: The Longest Thread (Misadventures)

She's kinda pretty when she's mad, isn't she? I had a lot of fun drawing this bad chull Narrator. I gotta get me that armor....
  24. "And this time, the person you're trusting is virtually immortal. And she won't give up on you. Or anyone else."
