    "If you're worried about your size, you can always change your appearance," said Elgiloy. "All of the abs with none of the work."

    "Next time the opportunity for you to get off your throne comes, I will remind you."

    "It does not, sir. I suggest you fill it with Narration. You likely should have Narrated its appearance as well instead of commanding me to get it. I am more than just a servant."

    Selil's Narration made up for what wasn't there. An outlet appeared in the wall, the plug extending in order to reach it.

    "Perhaps you should Narrate the steps aloud, sir," Elgiloy suggested.

    "I do believe there was an instruction manual in the closet." Eligloy produced it with Narration, handing it over.

    Elgiloy obliged and took up their place behind Selil's throne, hands behind their back.

    Elgiloy cocked their head. "Of course," they said flatly. They wandered off to where they knew from reading Selil's mind the machine was and picked the thing up without any trouble, carrying it as easily as if it were light as air. "Where would you like me to place it, sir?"

    Elgiloy eventually returned to the castle and their master. As they walked into the throne room, they paused to bow. "I have returned, sir. I trust you are pleased with my work?"

    Elgiloy roared, a torrent of wind blowing from the slit in their helmet. It was amazing how loud air could be at high speeds. And how strong, too; a few villagers went flying. "This town is under the management of the Dark Lord Selil! Tremble before his awesome power!" The Ignitis stuck a banner in the scorched ground and admired the chaos. Master will be proud of me, Elgiloy thought to themselves. They gently flicked some rubble off their shoulder and wandered over to an abandoned house that they'd razed. At their command, little metal discs began flying, each one sticking to Elgiloy's armor. They weren't sure when they'd started collecting coins. A few years, perhaps. Not too long. Long enough for their collection to be rather large though. If Elgiloy could have smiled, they would have. They'd have to organize the coins when they got home. But for now, there was fondue to be had.

    Elgiloy bowed and began making their way down the dais. Then, however, they paused. “May I collect coins while I conquer?” they asked.

    Elgiloy paused. "I will still be there with you to enjoy it. But I will be enjoying your enjoyment, not the food."

    "Sir, I cannot eat; my body is incapable of processing food. We have had this conversation before."

    "No, sir, you did not. Though I did note that it was on your schedule this morning. Now I have reminded you."

    Elgiloy tried to think of what their master might want. "Well, the color scheme of the castle seems good. Dark and dank and dreary. Have you subjected the people here to your rule yet?"

    Elgiloy would have raised an eyebrow if they'd had them. "Sir, I'm standing right behind you."

    The serving woman blushed while Nicolae chuckled. "Ah... Umm..." "Oh, yes, you tells her, miss, you tells her." "I'm sorry, I... I had no idea who..."

    "No, miss you may not," the serving lady hissed. "'Ey, now, that's my 'Leanor, that is," said Nicolae. He grinned stupidly at her, forgetting why he'd gotten drunk in the first place. "Oh, can it, Kimby." She hit him upside the head. "I don't understand why you girls flock to him so much. Whatever pleasure he's given you in bed, he's still a good-for-nothing, empty-brained little devil."

    Young Lady Korro saw an opportunity, one she was not keen on missing. To her entitled eyes, Nicolae Kimby was nothing less than the lowest scum of the earth and such a man did not deserve to be so close to the king. She smirked, whispering for one of her companions to make sure a head of castle staff was nearby enough to witness the scene unfold. "CieCie, give me your elastic," said Korro, watching Nicolae stack cups. He'd gotten them so high by now that even with his great height, he had to stand on his tiptoes. "You're gonna knock it over?" CieCie asked. She reached up to undo one of the ponytails in her hair. "I don't think this'll be enough to do the trick." An evil grin slid across Korro's face. She took the elastic from CieCie and aimed. "Oh, I don't need to knock it down. Nicolae will do that part all on his own..." With that, she let the elastic fly. The hair-tie hit Nicolae on the back of the neck, falling down his shirt. He jumped, flailing. CieCie chuckled. "Isn't he terribly frightened of spiders?" "He is indeed." In his attempt to shake the apparent bug off of him, Nicolae slapped the tower with one of his massive hands. The whole thing came crashing down, each and every glass cup shattering with a shockingly loud sound. CieCie and Korro shared a high-five, snickering. "NICOLAE, I SWEAR!" An aging, red-faced woman marched towards the now pale-with-embarrassment Sir Kimby. She grabbed him by the ear and began pulling him aside, screaming at him. "Do you have any idea how much all of that cost? You'll be out of a job if I have anything to say about it, boy. As soon as this lockdown is over, the king will hear about this!" @Condensation

    Shadow hurled her hatchet into the ground with a thump of blade into earth, taking a large swig of her vodka and plopping down on a throne made of bones and shadow. She'd made this little pocket of reality for herself ages ago. It was nice enough, as far as lairs went. Gloomy, full of mist and discarded glass bottles. She should really get rid of those sometime... But not today. Today was a good day to sit down, be drunk, and do nothing. You hate her, don't you, little one? Ah, the voice. It was back. Shadow grunted. "I hate everything," she responded. "Star's not special for being one name on that long list." Ah, but you hate her more than everyone else. Why is that? "Why do you care? You're in my head, aren't you? Well, just read my thoughts and shut the hell up. We both know I don't listen to you anymore anyway." Shadow downed the rest of her bottle, summoning another one, this one with wine in it. As she moved to drink again, some of it ran red like blood down her cheeks. But you do listen to Star. What she said got to you. You are lonely, my pet. She scoffed. "Oh, shut it, will you?" And you're not just lonely. You're jealous. That's why you killed Star's lover. Because you believe she should be as miserable as you are. "I asked you to shut up." But you don't have to be lonely, dearest. Shadow stood up, her face red. "Get out of my head, damn you." You're one of us, Heather. A screech erupted from Shadow's throat and she summoned her hatchet to her hand. "Don't call me that!!!" she demanded. "Get OUT! Out of my head, you vile little-" Shadow cut off suddenly, a sharp pain exploding in her forehead. Instinctively, she brought her hand to her head, dropping to the ground in a ball. We made a deal. Its voice was louder now. All-consuming. Your soul belongs to me. Shadow whimpered. Something had cut her. Your power comes from me. It was shards of glass from that a bottle she'd landed on. Why couldn't she heal herself? Without me, you are nothing. Mortal. How would you like to go back to being powerless? "No... Never... go back..." Shadow blinked tears of strain from her eyes. I thought so. Please remember that. You might be lonely now, but if I left you, there would be nothing stopping Star from ripping you apart. "I know. P-please..." There's my good girl. Enjoy your wine. With that, it released her.

    Oh, joy, Star thought flatly. She was not in the mood to deal with some happy-go-lucky newborn. "Welcome to the Hall, Phoenix." Though Star tried to say it with as much genuinity as she could muster, it still ended up sounding flat and sarcastic.

    Rose screeched. "What the hell are you doing? Put me down this instant!"

    By now, Star and Shadow had drawn a sizable amount of stares. It was highly unusual for Narrators to display such extreme emotion, particularly towards each other. Watching characters tear themselves apart was fun, but two beings of such power? That was sure to be interesting indeed. "Oh yeah, well, what are you gonna do?" said Shadow flatly. "I'm a Narrator like you, princess, you can't touch me." She faded to mist in Star's fingers to prove her point, reappearing with her arms folded a few feet away from the taller woman, an evil smirk on her pale face. "Besides. Even if you could kill me, it wouldn't bwing bawck your wittle Mavwick, now would it, Star?" Star's face grew red with anger, her nails digging into her palms. "You're a monster, Shadow. You've never cared about anyone your entire life and that's why no one cares about you. And no one ever will." Star got a scoff in response, but she knew she'd gotten to her nemesis. "Death is far too good for the likes of you. Stay alive and be lonely; you do more harm to yourself than I could ever do on my own." "Just because your own loneliness makes you feel like you're in hell doesn't mean it's the same way for me.Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a bottle that needs me." Shadow's shattered bottle of vodka reformed with a snap, the glass reforming and the liquid running out of the floor as if it had never been there to begin with. After that, she disappeared. Star let out a heavy sigh. "Good riddance..." She turned towards the poor boy who'd been pushed. "Are you alright?" she asked, moving to help him up.

    Shadow looked at the man with disgust. “Eww, get away from me!” She shoved him aside and continued moving. ”STOP!” Star demanded. She raised her hand and chains wrapped around her adversary. “You took everything from me. And you will PAY for it!!” A sword coalesced in her hand and she stride forward, grabbing Shadow by the collar.
