We know that Shallan killed her mother in the same month Gavilar was assassinated. Coincidentally we have - as you implied- just gotten the confirmaton that a herald died shortly before Gavilar's death - which is likely to be the one that broke, because another herald dying wouldn't be a meaningful plot point otherwise. Shallan might as well have killed her mother on the same day if it is already the same month, lining up perfectly with the events and that theory. It would seem that this theory is most likely correct.

Yumi's and Painter's planet seem to be in the same system (Yumi's planet is heavily implied to be the one seen from Painter's world which they first assumed to be a star, and there is Hoid stating that the two languages are related -->"Yumi and Painter’s languages shared a common root") so we can likely scrap that theory, unless Tress or Yumi/Painter somehow end up in another solar system, which is pretty unlikely considering the narratives.

So, I haven't read a lot of Brandon Sandersons Books yet. I've read the Stormlight Archive and the Mistborn Series so far and I wan't to start reading Warbreaker in the next time. I really like Brandon's writing style and the cosmere he uses to connect his books. I'm pretty new to this but already wanted to join this forum.
