  1. @Fanghur Rahl I really like your take on this. I notice for myself that my personality changes slightly, depending on who I am with. I always disliked how this would be seen as 'fake', because it is who I am, just different parts. Even my accent changes slightly, to match the person I am talking to, unvoluntarily. Although Shallan goes a good step further, I very much see all her persona's as her, not acting or being fake, but more... adapting?
  2. Could he do that? It seems disrespectful to Syl to pass her on like a thing. On the other hand; he would age and I guess Syl would not. Perhaps she would prefer a new bond instead of returning to her non-sentient stage upon Kal's death.
  3. Kaladin Kholin... that just doesn't sound right to me..... House Stormblessed on the other hand, sign me up. But I agree, he doesn't seem to care about these things. I doubt it will even be resolved after they deal with the Voidbringers.
  4. I've always found this puzzling about Seth. When I was reading, to me it seems that he deeply believes in some moral code imposed by the Shin that names him Truthless. This seems entirely external; he believes he told the truth when he said that the Radiants returned, but 'society' sees it different and he accepts fully that he is named Truthless (and all that comes with that). But then, in WoR, he seems to realize that there is now proof that he was right about the return, and now makes the fully internal decision that he is no longer Truthless, all by himself. I would have thought that, even with proof of the truth, he would still need the external validation that he is right and no longer Truthless.
  5. Thank you. And thanks for the warning. I've read Warbreaker, and Elantris. I read a bit of Mistborn, but that has been so long ago I don't remember much. I might reread those after I finish Stormlight Archive again. So no, I have definately not read all of Sanderson's books yet (fortunately! lots to read still).
  6. Hi all. I am rereading the Stormlight Archive (in the middle of WoR now) and just found this place. Love to read all the theories and words of Brandon, never knew there was so much beyond what is in the books. Might not be posting much myself, more of a reader than a theorizer. But so, yeah, I am here.
