  1. I took that to also mean this is a skybreaker thing. I think that's how all skybreaker and spren relationships work.
  2. I know I'm hela late. But... I think he is suggesting Shallan is a sevant. He has said certain magic users are so good at it and have such a strong connection that they manifest extra powers other surge binders might not have access to. I also think that maybe what Kaladin can do with his armor (using it to protect others around him) is unique to him. I'm not saying this bc I don't believe that Chana is Shallans mother. I actually think that is indeed the case. Im just not sure that is why she can do what she does. She has lots of practice. She has been doing it to herself most of her life.
  3. If he is holding the same dawnshard that hoid also held that would explain his inability to hurt people. It is def suggested it's the same dawnshard, not sure if it was said explicitly.
  4. I'm pretty sure they said you have to be invested to actual use/access the dawnshard's real powers/commands. Which is why they decided it was safe for Rysn to continue holding it. Which is why they are always keeping tabs on her. To make sure she isnt breaking that promise
  5. Duh. Okay. Thanks man. And yeah I was listening. Thanks for the proper spelling. That will be helpful in the future. But you answer makes a lot of things he says make way more sense.
  6. It seems like i have seen him before but I just can't place him. Or is he a new character all together? I just read the first scene with him in it so if it's a RAFO situation just say so. Lol
  7. It has been bothering me that Zahel was nowhere to be seen once Urithiru was invaded in Rhythm of War. I understand that his whole prerogative these days is just to lay low and stay uninvolved, but I feel like that wouldn't of been possible during the invasion. Is it possible that Kelsier could have attempted to kidnap him? I dunno if the ghostbloods would even be able to pull that off but it does align with his motives. His whole reason for wanting shallan to capture kelek was to (correct me if I'm wrong) help him find a way to break his tether to Scadrial. Vasher would be WAYYY more helpful in that regard. he is also a highly invested cognitive shadow that has been world hopping for longer than almost any other world hopper we know of. That might be what Mraize was up to in Urithiru. It is hard for me to believe that the ghostbloods would be capable of that but not entirely impossible for me to believe it either.
  8. I know that this discussion is old. But I feel I have to make this observation anyway. When we talk about dalinar constantly hearing the "Unite" command and kelsier hearing the "Survive" command, it does not have to mean they are in possession of a dawnshard. It must be called a "Command" for a reason. Isn't it possible that someone holding the corresponding dawnshard could be "Commanding" them directly in those instances? We have not actually seen what someone who has ascended to a dawnshard could actually do with it but giving Commands seems like it would probably be part of it. Sorry if this has already been suggested.
