    Now that you mention it, an anime would be a better choice over a movie. The thing I like about anime versus normal tv is that an anime (or some anime, anyway) goes for the length of the story as it is meant to be told, not being pressed for more content simply for the sake of it. Not that an SA anime would run out of content within even a decade or so by any stretch of the imagination, but just something to consider.
