  1. I was wondering why there was a lack of Rlain in the second half of oathbringer given that the other squires got quite a bit of coverage and according to Peter Ahsltrom this was intentional on Brandon's part. I believe that during his absence, Rlain has made contact with surviving listeners on the shattered plains. He will be key to uniting the humans and parsh people similarly to Dalinar uniting humans together. If the third godspren is in urithuru then there is a real possibility that Rlain becomes a bondsmith. If the third godspren is slumbering as the storm father says he is then maybe Rlain's efforts will awaken it similarly to Syl finding Kaladin. What do you guys think? Any theories on who/where/why is the sibling?
  2. I'm wondering if Nightblood can permanently kill one of the fused given that it (he?) can apparently kill things simultaneously in all three realms. I just want to see more Nightblood and Szeth interactions to be honest.
  3. Sorry I probably should have put it there. I'm still trying to figure this site out. Do you think I should repost over there?
  4. So here goes my crackpot theory; There are a number of listeners on the shattered plains who survived the events in book 2 and they wil be important in book 4. Oathbringer made a big emphasis on character development for squires as we saw Teft, Rock and The Lopen make big strides. However, there was a significant lack of Rlain in the second half of the book which Peter Ahlstrom says is intentional. There's a WoB on this somewhere but I can't find it and don't know how to link it. Anyways, I believe that the reason for Rlain's absence is that he discovered/was discovered by the surviving listeners and he has been helping them out. I think Rlain along with Venli end up being the bridge between both races and both end up with radiant abilities. My real crackpot theory is that Rlain does not end up as a wind runner but as a bondsmith, uniting people akin to Dalinar. Please share any criticisms or theories of your own. The crazier the better.
