    "Pft, who you do think you're talking to, an ex-mobster?" She chuckled, then looked at him seriously.

    "Shoot," Tena said, looking at her son intently and rocking her daughter gently when she started waking up.

    Tena shrugged. "I still wish I could've been better. And you, kiddo, are fully in control of yourself right now. So you can choose to let what happened in the past affect your actions. If you want to be a good dad, whatever that means to you, it's within your power. Okay?"

    Tena sighed. "I guess. I tried to be a good mom and dad, but... only so much I can do." She shrugged. "I didn't really have a dad either, for a long while. I'm sorry you had to deal with that too."

    "Are you insulting my mothering abilities?" She looked at him seriously, lifting her daughter slightly.

    "Yeah," Tena said. She was silent for a moment, looking at Talas curiously. "You're a good kid." She reached over and ruffled his hair, smiling.

    Tena shrugged. "But I want all of you to be happy, and I guarantee that your kids will be happier if they have a dad, if he's a good dad." She looked at him resolutely, cocking an eyebrow.

    "Oh..." Tena said. "That is... I'm sorry. I don't think I've heard anything from Ambrosia either. I hope she's okay... Do you think you could get along with her again if she shows up?"

    "Hm," Tena said. "How's your past while been? Are Ambrosia and the kiddos doing okay?" She worried about Sil-- Talas often, and her grandchildren were often the reason why. They were very important to her.

    Talon nodded, dancing off behind the counter, where he relayed the order to the cook. He got glasses of water for both the patrons, then went back behind the bar. He leaned against the counter and absently checked out his nails, painted with a pattern of a sky and clouds on each one. Tena cocked her head at her son, taking a sip of water. "Why'd you want to talk?"

    Talon strolled over to the table, smiling. "Hello, sir. Can I get you anything?" Tena found him and sat down across from him, smiling. "Hey, kid." She looked at the waiter. "Get me a BLT, if you would." Talon nodded, waiting for Talas's order.

    Tena hefted her daughter and headed out down the stairs, pained at the baby she was close to birthing. Onyx... that's what Ani wants to name it. Tena took a bus to the nearest place she could get to the Bleeding Spike, then walked the rest of the way and came inside holding her sleeping daughter. She looked around for... Talas? That was his name now?

    Tena saw the text in five minutes and nodded to herself. Sure. Where at? I'll have to bring your little sister. @bees?

    Dan nodded, and they went to the chapel. Yay! With Dan stressing the whole time. Yay!

    Dan nodded, walking to the chapel and holding Shae's hand happily. He loved Shae... a lot. The thought of losing him made Dan want to curl up and fall asleep, and he hated that weakness. He hated being afraid. He pulled Shae a little closer. "I love you so much... I promise I'll keep you safe..."

    "I won't ever leave you," Dan said, hugging Shae back, then trailing his fingers over Shae's scar. "This makes you mine." He moved his hand up to his own mark. "And this makes me yours." He smiled, perking his ears. "We serve each other. It's our duty as family." He licked Shae's forehead, blushing and smiling. He felt better now... He liked reminding himself that Shae was his, and it always made everything better.

    Dan nodded. "Of course." He gently ran his hand through Shae's hair. "I love you... I don't know if I'll be able to stop saying that..." He smiled, looking at Shae with concern and something almost sad in his eyes. He loved Shae so much, and he wanted to be Shae's world like Shae was his... but Shae didn't want to talk to him first. He supposed that that was fine, though. Even if it hurt. @ShadowLord_Lith

    Dan carried him to his nest, then laid him down there and started to kiss him and snuggle him and try to make him feel better. He was bad at this, but he was trying...

    Dan was there in about a minute, and swept Shae up in the biggest, tightest, happiest hug of all time. "Baby, oh Sisters, oh Sisters, I missed you! Are you okay? Please?" He licked up Shae's tears, grinning. And also wanting to cry.
