Yeah, now that I think about it, this has more general speculation and implications to the cosmere in it then just on Roshar. I like the idea that the Shardbearers are being influenced, but is it really as limited as that? Kaladin's fly over the world seemed to show almost the entire world in one war or another.

Ok, so we keep seeing in tWoK that many differenty characters experience a type of euphoria during battle. They hardly talk about it and Dalinar seems to imply that it is something of a taboo subject. The important scene is a few times when Dalinar looses the Thrill in the middle of battle and is disgusted by what he sees around him. This reminds me VERY strongly of Marsh's viewpoints in Hero of Ages. When Ruin is controlling him he loves the sight and smell of the blood and destruction. When Ruin wanders off and Marsh can have some control it horrifies him. So is there a Shardholder out there who is influencing the fighting men of the world to ENJOY battle? From what we can see there is an awful lot of war going on, maybe this is the direct result of them being compelled into fighting and loving it?

I tend to not listen to music while I read unless I'm someplace crowded and want to block out other noise. If that is the case then its usually something without words so that I can not be distracted. I DO like to listen to music while I write and try to find a good song/sound to fit the emotion of the scene I'm writing.

I like this theory a freakish amount...thought it all just seems speculation. It Lerasium, where has he stashed it? The line makes it seem like he ingested it personally. If this is true then it makes the rest of the line funny too.

The word splintered here evokes an important image. The Elantrians and their use of AonDor have always seemed like WAY more powerful then any of the other magic systems ie. an Awakener or a Mistborn. Is it possible that the Elantrians don't just tap into the Dor but are infused with splinters themselves of the Shard?

I tend to make people read the Prologue to Warbreaker when I'm talking up Sanderson. It works so well as an introduction to him I think and it shows off his skill. Also every person I've shown that to has later asked to borrow the book. Hence why I have two copies....and ebook editions.

Good point! 1. I've only been watching DW since the new series starting with the 9th Doctor. 2. The Doctor has an attitude of excitement and cheerfulness even when the world is about to explode that I find fun AND productive. 3. My favorite Doctor(based on my limited sample) is the current Doctor(the 11th.) 4. Blink was freeken creepy as rust.
