  1. Cassie nodded briskly. “Are we doing it here?”
  2. “A wedding,” Cass muttered. “Oh, that’s right. Jason and Ax are getting married...” They seemed too young for it, but they were technically of legal age. She forced her thoughts away and onto a new subject with a ferocity that surprised her; she didn’t want to think about this anymore. “Um, food. You need lots of food for a wedding. And, like, decorations...did they give you a color scheme?”
  3. “Self-defense is different,” Cassie said instantly. “You can’t blame yourself for protecting people.” Not like me. I meant to protect, but I only killed.
  4. “Better?” She shook her head with a laugh, but the laugh was manic and she ducked her head down again. “I’m a murderer. Or a manslaughterer or whatever. I don’t think I’ll ever be better.”
  5. Stand together. Strength before weakness...Cassie blinked back more tears. I disobeyed a different part of my oath, not that part, but it’s still part of the First Ideal. “Okay.” She looked up at them. “Okay.”
  6. Cassie closed her eyes and tried not to sob. “Thank you,” she whispered.
  7. “I haven’t forgotten anything,” Cassie whispered. Have I? Would I know if I had? I can still remember my past, including everything that’s happened to me since I learned about Radiants and since I became one.
  8. Hehehehe (for those without context, I have a character who recently broke her only oath, but due to Nightwatcher intervention, has powers. I could explain it in more detail, but don’t want to derail the thread.)
  9. This is awesome! And agreed that all the awesome RPers can draw awesomely too.
  10. Exactly what everyone else has said. And don’t be weird around them, make sure they still know you’re friends and that’s it’s okay.
  11. *cries in roleplayer* That was my inspiration, actually The tiger wound, I can probably bandage that easier (not that I have any medical experience) and it’ll focus the pain in one place. It also seems like it would be more likely to hit a major vein and bleed out with five hundred paper cuts. Would you rather eat a live mouse once or eat nothing but your least favorite food for two days?
  12. Schools these days. What is the world coming to?
  13. Nah. That would never happen anyway, we’re all way too active I’ve heard of a TLPW thread that went on for over two thousand pages.
  14. It’s fine, just the name. I might’ve been more sensitive than I normally am to that because for some reason I watched a ton of videos last night about DID.
  15. “Thank you,” Myriad said lightly, and went through the door without a backward glance.
  16. I probably shouldn’t be here, Deteca mused. I should probably be doing something more important...but nobody is going to yell at me for going to a wedding. They probably wouldn’t yell at me anyway. She noticed people standing and talking in the back and made her way over to them, but didn’t interrupt their conversation.
  17. *hugs @Nathrangking* You’ll see her again in heaven. I really hope that when she does pass, it’s fast and not painful, and that you and your family are with her. Good luck getting through this!
  18. When you wear a safeglove to school, just because you can. (I’m a darkeyes, so I don’t have to do anything fancy to cosplay! Take that, lighteyes!)
  19. I know I’m late to this one, but Not be able to read the books, easily. Audiobooks are a thing and the Shard is a second home. Awaken the stick, with the Command “Become Fire”. Would you rather die in fire or die in ice?
  20. DID* (my apologies for putting this here instead of the discussion thread, mobile is weird with copying and pasting quotes for me)
  21. Was that the cursing filter? Some of the gods/certain instincts could cause amnesia of varying degrees, if you want, Luna. You could engineer a fight with someone in Tühine? *shrugs* @Sorana @Lunamor
  22. “You’re fine,” she said automatically, quickly signing her name on the paper. “By the way, I won’t always look like this, so don’t be surprised when I show up with a new face.” She almost slipped up, writing Marian instead of Myriad - she had never had to sign her name since her death - but got it in the end. Signed, Mar Myriad She handed the paper, the pen, and a smile back to Alanis. “You said there was a meeting today; may I attend it? And is there anything else I should know?”
  23. Myriad felt at her pockets. Pen, pen...please have something to write with...Nothing. “Do you have a pen or pencil, by chance?” she asked apologetically.
  24. Myriad gripped her hand and shook it, then said. “It’s nice to meet you. I go by Myriad, and I’m interested in joining your guild.”
