  1. As we've learnt much of the fabrials in Urithiru are manifested by essence of the Sibling themself, does that mean that the fabrials are made of alloys of Tanavastium and KoravelliumAvastium(?), just like Shardblades? However if they are made from godmetals, then how do the mechanisms of attractors or pressure fabrials work, seeing as they require the use of metals associated with the Metallic Arts? Have there actually been indication of them being made from godmetals (or any other fabrials that are manifested directly by spren)? And it's also interesting to see that the Sibling can manifest into crystals, for the gemstones of the fabrials. So in theory, are there actually two physical states of Investiture (metal + crystal), and would the crystal just be the normal gemstones we know, or something more?
  2. Are there mists in Southern Scadrial? If so, during era 1 won't 16% of them be snapped and become allomancers? And so shouldn't allomancy not be as rare in the South as it is in Era 2? (or is it simply that those who are snapped by the mist were very weak allomancers, therefore not capable of passing down the sDNA gene for allomancy).
  3. Vax. We barely know anything about it.
  4. I'm not really sure if Truthwatchers in general have the ability to lightweave, after all, lightweaving depends on the art and the special Memory ability of the Lightweavers. The truthwatcher's surge of illumination may be different to the Lightweavers, as evidenced by this quote from Oathbringer: It's as if the Truthwatcher's surge of illumination is somehow more on the offensive and practical side of things instead of illusion. Or perhaps it's just a side effect of Renarin bonding with a corrupted spren.
  5. The Cognitive Realm exists only in a planet if there are people inhabiting them or something.
  6. I dislike Avengers: Infinity War (and pretty much most marvel films. They're very overrated [sorry if I offended anyone]). I'm now so dead.
  7. DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO SEE BUT NOT HAVE SEEN CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD, FOR THERE WILL BE BIG SPOILERS. Credence being Albus Dumbledore's brother is the single most ridiculous, illogical thing I have ever heard. The movie was already mehh by itself, but that "plot twist"? It's another Cursed Child again. According to the Harry Potter wiki, who got its source from Ezra Miller, the actor of Credence Barebone is 18 in the first Fantastic Beast Film, and so Credence is probably born in 1907-1908. Albus Dumbledore, on the other hand, was born in 1881. His mother, Kendra Dumbledore, died soon after Albus graduated from Hogwarts, so about 17-18 years old. That would place the year around 1899. 1899, 1908. It's entirely impossible for Credence to be Albus Dumbledore's younger brother. His father? Well, he was locked up in Azkaban around 1890. I doubt he would have a child in Azkaban, and if he does had one...well, even the strongest wizards die in the presence of dementors. But if thats truly is the case, I'm out. At best, Credence is a dumbledore relative, a cousin perhaps. Or maybe grindelwald just lied to him. Though the phoenix family legend thing just leans towards Credence being a dumbledore.
  8. Its known that Ruin (and probably Preservation) couldn't see metal, in which when they attempt to do so it wold be a shining bright light. But is it only a Scadrian thing (as metals appear to be the same brightness as souls, which might mean they have some link with the spiritual realm or investiture?), or are all other shards blind to metal? If it's a yes, that could create a whole lot of interesting theories in other cosmere works.
  9. The Lord Ruler having kids pre-ascension would make much more sense, and that they weren't feruchemist, so they wouldn't be turned into mistwraiths, and that they wouldn't have the allomancy gene.
  10. So the singes and listeners have forms that specializes in doing different things, like workform for working and etc. Singers change forms by bonding with spren in a highstorm. I've realized that there wasn't much mention of what spren turns a singer into what form, so I've decided to make a list and theorise what spren makes what form. (Note that the following list does not include Forms of Power, as there is very limited knowledge on the varieties of voidspren as of current) Mateform For mateform, it is probable that passionspren is used in order to turn into this form. After all, joy, empathy are all very passionate feelings and emotions. Also, passion for your mate is crucial in the process of reproducing. Passionspren is also noted to appear around those experiencing romantic passion, and possibly sexual passion. Warform From the above sentence, "It comes to those with the will, anticipationspren might be the spren for warform. "With the will" might mean a singer who anticipates and focuses on a certain will or purpose. And also anticipationspren is said to often appear around soldiers directly before a battle. It's slight connection to war might b Workform The stanza from the Song of Listing does not give much detail on what spren is needed for workform. "Whispering spren breathe at your ear" might imply a sentient spren, but that would be impossible as bonding with a sentient spren would either bring a form of power or becoming a Surgebinder. The best I could come up with is concentrationspren, for concentration is needed for work. NImbleform Nimbleform had me stuck. With the Song of Listing, it doesn't give much detail on the spren of this form. And nimbleform is just a form to make the singer thin and nimble, which doesn't quite fit with the spren list we currently have. Help would be appreciated. Meditationform Again, there aren't any spren which matches with the attributes above. There aren't any peace or calmspren, or spren that matches with "teaching or consolation", so for now, the slot remains empty. Scholarform The first thing that comes to mind for scholarform are logicspren, afterall, what better attribute is there for a scholar other then logic? So logicspren is the best bet. Artform Creationspren is confirmed to be the spren of artform in the following stanza of the Song of Revision: Dullform Rotspren is the most probable spren for this form, mostly because of the sentance "It finds you and brings you to blight." And also unlike other spren, Rosharans believe that rotspren causes infection and sickness rather then being attracted to infected wounds. So the words "brings you to blight" might be said because rotspren are the cause of blight. These are the only forms we know for now. If there are any more forms that will be revealed, I'll try to remember to add them onto the list. Additionally, some of the spren above might be inaccurate, so help will be needed. Especially for nimbleform and meditationform, in which I am stuck on. Thanks!
  11. @Cyanic Thank you so much for the suggestions. Perhaps I could make it that Givers and Melters are more affected by the CharaDust because they are using their abilities to affect external objects/souls. So it would be harder to control their powers, and may often lead to distractions and danger of their mind exploding from too much happiness. CharaDust is fairy common, as plants breathe out dust as much as they breathe out oxygen. It's so common that dusts are used for everything like lighting, or makeup etc. But during colder seasons less dust is produced because the dust system goes into a "hibernating" mode in order to conserve energy and heat. Vibrance users are executed when found out, as their abilities are deemed "unnatural" and "sinful". Though the executions are usually hidden from the public to avoid any craziness or riots. Best to make everyone believe that the Vibrance is gone forever. @Unlicensed Hemalurgist Do you mean perhaps to build more Vibrance classes whose abilities are specifically to counteract other Vibrance abilities or something else? I really like the creepiness and horrifying ability of Kinbinding. So if a person is a descent from the subspecies, could they also learn Kinbinding or is it not possible? And what are the uses of Kinbinding in real-life situations? Does the subspecies use other race like slaves, or do they maybe use other race as soldiers? And also does the subspecies feel pain if the person they have binded got hurt? @Servillius I think you should totally write a book, the system could totally help create a very interesting story. Do the different sexes of aer look different and have different unique characteristics or are they just the same?
  12. @Cyanic I just want to ask for the Resonance, do the Resonators basically recharge their Echo over time? And the Echo basically life energy, so if using Echo (just a small part of it), would it somehow make you "less living", or are there any side effects on the life force of the Resonators? I really like the way how you incorporate memory with forging, so that every-ime you've Forged you forget how you've done it. Really creative idea of limitations in magic systems. But when a Forger forgets something, would all memories from when the user was Forging disappear? Like for example, you were talking with someone while Image Forging. Would the conversation that you had with the person while Forging disappear, or would only the memory of how you Image Forge disappear? __________________________________ My magic system is still quite in development, so it would be great for some advice and suggestions: The magic system is set in a world where the emotion of "joy" dominates, and there are some who have the ability of the Vibrance, which is basically the name for the system. The Vibrance is sorted into (so far) 5 parts, each with it's own abilities and characteristics. The Vibrance is powered by a particle called CharaDust, a type of dust thats breathed out by plants on the planet. Digesting or breathing in the dust will give you a moment of euphoria and happiness, though too much could lead into addiction and death. So in order to activate the Vibrance, the user has to suck in CharaDust, but they have to do it slowly and carefully in smaall amounts to avoid death. The Five Types of Vibrance: 1) Silencers: Using CharaDust, they suck in and dampen sound waves, and by using the sound waves they could peer into the future for a second, or release it all at once as a devastating weapon, pushing everything around them because of the high frequency of the waves. The amount of sound the SIlencer could collect depends on the amount of CharaDust in the Silencer's system. 2) Givers: Converts CharaDust into waves of positive emotions, they could manipulate and dominate the minds of others in order to "control them". (similar to Rioting in the Mistborn series, though the Giver won't be allowed to choose the emotions to riot, instead only abled to riot joy) The person influenced would be high and be trance-like, so that they would listen every instruction given to them by the Giver. Though if the Giver's waves are too strong, the brain of the victim may be damaged. The strength of the wave depends on the user's amount of CharaDust. 3) Swifters: Breathes in CharaDust and converts it to energy. The energy waves make them hyper, but allows for supernatural speed and reaction. It also raises their stamina and endurance. Though it does cause the user a bit of drunkness with the amount of energy in them, so if not controlled properly they could hurt even their allies without knowing. The strength depends on the amount of CharaDust. 4) Melter: Uses the CharaDust to heat up the molecules of objects. So the molecules would basically be so "happy" and heated up that their states of matter would change. Solids could turn into liquids while liquids can turn into gas and so on. The speed of the change in the states of matter depends on the amount of CharaDust in the user's system. 5) Tamer: Sucks the energy in CharaDust to convert and mold it into spirits of joy. The spirits existence, intelligence and strength depends on the amount of energy it was molded from, so the more CharaDust the stronger it is. A Tamer directly controls the spirits with his/her mind, so whenever the spirit feels pain the Tamer will also feel it. This also means that the Tamer would split his/her perception into different parts, each for one spirit. So a Tamer could make dozens of spirits, but would have to split his/her mind into dozens of pieces, each controlling one spirit. Spirits has many uses such as spying, distracting, or even killing in more extreme cases. Really open up for any suggestions or questions!
  13. Granted. But you will suffer from permanent hair loss that could not be healed. I wish for the ability to read the minds of all unicellular living things, and that I shall have full control over this ability.
  14. Feruchemy is an end-neutral magic system that exists solely in the Spiritual Web of the Terris people and their descendants. It doesn't matter if any people in a person's bloodline was a feruchemist or not, as long as there is a Terrisman/woman, then the person would have a chance of becoming a feruchemist. Feruchemy does not require Snapping, or at least it wasn't shown or mentioned that it requires Snapping. So then, why do the Terris people have feruchemy written in their Spiritual Web? A theory is that the pre-final empire Terris people lived in a close approximately with the Well of Ascension and Ruin's Perpendicularity (dubbed as the Lake that Fedik, one of Alendi's travelling companions, discovered. He was attacked by Ruin in the form of the black mist spirit shortly afterwards.) The two shardpools, with totally opposite intents, affected the Terris people. This would further explain why feruchemy is an end-neutral art, as Preservation's (end-positive) and Ruin's (end-negative) were in a tangle, canceling both out into a magic system that does not create or take. But this theory have some flaws in it. If people living in proximity with shardpools have their Spiritual Web changed, then what does it say for the people at other shardpools? The pool below the Pits of Hathsin became the new location of Ruin's perpendicularity, used by many Worldhoppers to enter Scadrial, with a trade-network there that even Rashek was aware of. Until of course Kelsier destroyed it. So do the skaa workers in the Pits have their Spiritual Web changed? This would be hard to know, for most usually die in a year or so, and they won't exactly be birthing children would they. But after Kelsier saved the workers, it is unknown what happened to them. The people near the Well of Ascension bear no changes too. For all we know, everything stayed the same. The Unkalaki (Horneater) people lived on mountain peaks with a lakes on top to warm the environment. The lakes are Cultivation's Perpendicularity. According to Rock, some Horneaters (like himself) can see spren in their true forms and can see spren that wants to be hidden. Whether or not it was an effect of the shardpool, we do not know. Afterall, the Horneater people have Listener blood in them, who could also see spren. An example to prove the theory that the shardpools gave the powers of feruchemy is Patji's Eye, the emerald lake on Patji. (still a bit confused about which shard. It's related to Autonomy, at least, but Patji is an avatar of Autonomy, so can avatars have shardpools?) The lake changed the environment around it, growing Patji Fingers, trees that bear fruits which the worms eat, which the aviar then ate, gaining talents and powers. So did the Terris, who farmed near the shardpools, ate food that were invested? Another theory is that another Shard came to Scadrial, who then changed the Spiritual Web of the Terris people. And it is proven that Scadrial was visited by other Shards before the events of Mistborn: This might be referencing to Trell or Autonomy or something like that (still very confused with Autonomy and his/her avatars), but it could also mean that a Shard invested the Terris. Who knows? The final theory is that Preservation himself invested the Terris community directly. Afterall, Preservation did help found the Terris religion and he gave them the prophecy of the Hero of Ages. Why wouldn't he invest the Terris people? But that also raises some questions. Why the Terris? Why not any other nations on Scadrial, after all the Terris people are just herdsmen and farmers. Is it again related to the close proximity of the Well of Ascension, or perhaps he foresaw that the Hero of Ages is Terris himself? For all we know, the origins of feruchemy are still unknown and any questions asked are RAFOed. Lets hope that "The Lost Metal" might provide some answers, along with Trell and Autonomy and their confusing relationship. Feel free to add on to those theories, or prove why they're wrong. Thanks for reading this.
  15. In the Hero of Ages, Demoux mentioned that Kelsier only got his allomantic powers AFTER Mare died (which is quite strange considering that he's part of a thieving crew with skaa mistings in it, which would include many many near-death situation, with many chances of being Snapped). So, why did Kelsier acquire his powers after SIXTEEN months in the Pits of Hathsin? (theres that number again!) From a certain novella, we've learnt that it was Preservation who spoke the word to Kelsier after Mare's death: Survive. This urged him to escape the Pits and whatnot. But why would Preservation take considerate notice on Kelsier, who was a nobody before? Wouldn't there be more important agenda to do, like focusing more on Vin and the refilling of the Well of Ascension? Perhaps he sees him being influenced by Ruin, or foresaw that he would train Vin? Whatever the case, I believed that Preservation somehow gave Kelsier allomantic powers by saying those words. And by doing so, he affected the future of Scadrial with the creation of Survivorism But as Demoux said, it is quite strange for Kelsier to have finally Snapped even after going through many traumatic and life-threatening events. Feel free to add on to this theory, or add in suggestions and stuff like that. Thanks!
  16. This word, Vax, appears from time to time. When Ati goes into the Beyond he mentions it, and in the Ars Arcanum of Elantris, it mentions that the manifestation of Investiture in Vax is different from Elantris. Is it another planet? Does it contain a shard? If so, is it one that we still do not know?
