  1. Wow. I see what you mean when you say that AG role distributions are... different. I certainly agree, Iguana looks a whole lot more suspicious now. Changing their vote at pretty much literally the last moment without stating a reason... and the person they voted for happens to be an elim? There would be no way of telling C1, so either they're an elim bussing their teammate, or they just got lucky. It's always a possibility that the elims thought that they were the only ones who were worldhoppers. There was no evidence to make the assumption that all the villagers were worldhoppers as well, really- not until now. And, of course, if Scorpion's theory is true, then it's a risk that they have to take. Having both you and Toucan be elims gives us a picture of what happened last cycle that makes some sort of sense. If Toucan is not an elim, it becomes less likely that you are one as well, but it still doesn't explain your behavior. I won't vote on you, for now- I'm interested in what you have to say in your defense. But I am most certainly suspicious.
  2. Tnaidar turned the corner just in time to see the shadowy figure disappear around the next. He intensified his pace, curiosity growing. Left. Right. Right. Left. Left. At last, he stepped through a doorway he'd seen the figure pass through only minutes before to see... nothing. The figure had vanished, seemingly without a trace. He stepped into the room, scanning to see if he'd missed something on his first glance. Nothing. He sighed and turned back to the doorway, ready to return to the scouting base, when - all of a sudden - he heard a loud gasp from the direction of one of the branching hallways. He froze for just a second, then turned and dashed towards the direction the sound had come from.
  3. I guess I've stated the obvious, then. --- A red X on the floor. Tnaidar frowned and bent over to look at the X. It looked new- probably placed by one of his fellow Scouts. But... why? All of a sudden, something made a noise behind him. He spun around, just in time to see a figure slink around the corner. Tnaidar stumbled to his feet and followed, his curiosity piqued. Could whoever that was have placed the mark? And if so... why?
  4. Tnaidar strode down the corridor, whistling as he did so. Left... right... right... right... left... His feet walked automatically down the well trodden path. He came to a stop in a wide chamber with several passages branching off of it. Let's see... I did that one yesterday, that one on Shashashah, so that means today... this one! He started down, taking up his whistling tune again.
  5. Tnaidar tapped along to the soft music playing in the background as the lift lowered him into the depths of the majestic tower city. Catchy, he thought. Who knew ancient Radiants were such great composers? His team had found the music-producing fabrials came from only last week, but already the artifabrians had installed them in every lift in Uruthiru. Tnaidar far preferred it to the endless silence that he'd had to sit through before on his often long lift trips. As the music played, his thoughts turned to what had happened this morning. A Radiant, found dead- but, even more alarmingly, in possible cahoots with the Voidbringers! What is this world coming to? Tnaidar wondered. With a ding! the elevator doors opened. ------------- Taking a look at the rules, it seems that this game will be pretty standard. A protection role and a kill role. Compare to a Lurcher and Coinshot respectively in an equivalent Mistborn game. I would guess most likely only one of each. Standard PM role. Compare to a Tineye in an equivalent Mistborn game. I would guess either two or three. Passive self-protect. Compare to a Thug in an equivalent Mistborn game. I would guess either one or two. Standard vote manip. Compare to a Soother and Rioter respectively in an equivalent Mistborn game. I would guess four or five total. Standard scan role. Compare to a Seeker in an equivalent Mistborn game. I would guess only one. Standard hide role. Compare to a Smoker in an equivalent Mistborn game. I would guess only one. Random power role. Compare to a Mistborn in an equivalent Mistborn game. I would guess only one. Standard no-power role. Taking a closer look, the roles of this game seem to be exactly identical to those of QF32 (with a small modification to the Mistborn role). This game was only 17 players, so it won't provide a perfect example, but it might help give a general idea for how many of each role exists.
  6. that was mainly just for self-defense, like a lot of people have pointed out. And in weasel's post they said they'd survive the lynch anyway so I don't see why voting on them for self defence is a problem when they won't die, according to them. Weasel Speaking of self defense, Mauve Crocodile This one's actually a little more than that though. My point was to remind everyone that devotion's role has two aspects to it, and to hypothesise what that could mean for the game lol I'm not claiming to be some sorta action-predicting psychic
  7. Hm if what you say is true then they probably are a shard, however I'm not sure that warrants a vote... even if they happen to be odium or smt, lynching them would only kill the player, the shard's just going to be passed on to a teammate of theirs Interesting, though
  8. GAAHH I HATE MYSELF I TYPED OUT A PERFECT POST BUT I ACCIDENTALLY CLICKED 'NEXT PAGE' AND IT ALL DISAPPEARED ASJKADKJALHSLKCHLAK K i'll try to make it short and quick this time round: chill out guys [insert rant about me hating my timezone] i guess your argument is valid but you seriously can't expect me to somehow defend myself against this. Unless you want me to claim to be part of your faction. Will that work? uhh ok I cant tell if you actually rolled a die but ok thank you. hey! I try. i really do. I don't like how you didnt waste any time joining in. You say something about adding pressure but this seems almost defensive to me. Weasel I don't like how you narrowly escaped last cycle's lynch and are so eager to get somebody else's head on the block today. And personally, i dont think Devotion has you protected this time. Devotion's role not only protects the target from lynches but also redirects every action targeting said target to Devotion's Vessel. If i were Devotion, i wouldn't be super keen on using my ability on you. You've made yourself stand out enough that using that role on you is kinda risky for Devotion if ya know what i mean. emphasis mine is that the ONLY reason? Are you forgetting that you were only one vote away from getting lynched that turn? Let's see...if devotion has used their ability on you this cycle, then that redirect you mention would have redirected towards Devotion's Vessel, therefore...redirecting devotion's action towards themself...and effectively nullifying the redirection involved in Devotion's action, but granting Devotion's Vessel immunity from today's lynch. Yes my head hurts. yEs this is the second time ive had to type this. yes the first time round it was better structured.leave me alone. Truth is, i can't say whether Devotion used their ability on you this cycle. I'm willing to take my chances though. mainly because I'd rather not die. Assuming my gender?:P
  9. I panicked for a second before realising you meant pinch-hitters That actually makes a lot of sense. I'd completely forgotten about the 4 shards' contribution thing. Although I'm having a hard time trying to figure out which Shard this might be. Role-wise, it doesn't quite fit with any shard listed in the rules. Perhaps a secret role of sorts? Can't say for sure Also, I couldn't catch up on last turn's thread due to unexpected rl things but man I missed an interesting lynch. Interesting claims. @Indigo Weasel while Devotion being part of your faction explains why you survived the D1 lynch, it still doesn't justify why you almost actively tried to get lynched in the first place...
  10. Someone's seriously on to this. At this point I can only assume this has to have something do to with this Shard's wincon. Assuming that both charges of investiture were sent by the same Shard. ok. I'm assuming this is one of Autonomy's...uh...whatever they're called. I realise I've overused the word assume in this post
  11. The more I think about it, the more I find myself convinced that this here is probably the ca- oh look, ninja'd by Weasel The fact that you've said this makes it unlikely for it to be true now...In my eyes, at least. If you were Survival you could've just claimed on turn 1 as your wincon would probably have been something like stay alive and stuff. Neutral stuff.
  12. there's something off about Weasel I've been wanting to point out for a while now, but sO mANy uNeXPecTEd things keep popping up irl and I keep forgetting. so yeah. im on mobile so im got gonna try and quote the posts on to here, but @Indigo Weasel has mentioned being in "docs" (plural) at least twice since the game started. I should mention that this was during the first turn, so they couldn't have been in any world doc at the time. I can't say if that's just a mistake or a huge slip-up. i do have a little theory on why Weasel may willingly want to get themself lynched: Their faction(s?) may have chosen a wincon that relates to attaining a certain number of 'returned'. In which case, their faction probably has Endowment. If this is true, then I suppose it doesn't really harm to help them out with that? Unless it's a wincon that ends the game, in which case I would prefer that one of my wincons be reached too. if your offer still stands, Indigo Weasel, please choose one of the following yes-or-no questions of your choice: 1. Do you have access to more than one doc, excluding world docs? 2. Are you trying to have yourself turned into a Returned?
  13. But once Yolen is created it benefits everyone, not just the shards that invested in it. I'm guessing that whoever invested in yolen is probably an independent player and not part of a faction since it makes more sense for the shards to invest in a teammate at this stage in the game. If it indeed is an independent player, I could see this potentially being a contributor to their wincon.
  14. If I remember correctly, each Shard had a secret wincon of their own in that game. Autonomy's was to create an aspect on every world and, well, because nobody quite anticipated that, Autonomy got away with conveniently worldhopping to every world and leaving an aspect on it. The game came to an abrupt end as soon as they satisfied their wincon. I'm guessing the main reason no one ever saw it coming was because it seemed too easily achievable to be a wincon that a lot of us didn't even consider it... iNTerEstInG
  15. Hello, hello! Before I start talking, everybody look at my avatar. I KNOW. IT'S SO CUTE. ahem. There's no lynch today, which means no one gets to fall victim to poke votes and consequently die on the first turn of the game. Fantastic. Although I expect the game to get fairly chaotic shortly, what with there being four different sources of kills (including the lynch). This is bound to be fun. Oh no you've exposed your faction A question, @Seonid. Soz if it's already been cleared up somewhere in the rules but do Autonomy's aspects count towards the 'outnumber all other players' wincon? Yes, I have not forgotten how sneakily Autonomy pulled a win off in the last Shard game. I will not let it happen again.
  16. Renarin- Killed by Aesudan hour 5 Gavilar- Killed by Aesudan hour 6 Aesudan- Killed by Adolin hour 8 Dalinar- Killed by Venli hour 8.5 Elhokar- Killed by ??? hour 9.5 Navani- Killed by ??? hour 10 Adolin- Killed by ??? hour 10.5 Jasnah- Still alive I'm pretty sure this is correct hour-wise. If anyone knows who killed Elhokar, Navani, and/or Adolin, please fill in the missing information.
  17. I had thought Kelek was going to protect Klade, but apparently he protected Adolin instead. As for items, I have the same two broams I possessed back during cycle 7, plus two broams that Liss gave me the cycle she was ostracised. Liss also possessed a noise fabrial, which I've heard of but am unsure where it came from and how Liss obtained it.
  18. I don't believe this is true, as I was informed that my action failed on the turn Ialai claimed she failed to take an action(9.5) @SE_Adolin_Kholin, why is it that you can consistently take two actions per turn? Is it possible that @SE_Klade has received the same benefit?
  19. That's more information than I have. Where did you get this information? Is this from the cycle where Dalinar and Amaram were killed? That was the cycle Ialai claimed she was roleblocked, but doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the most recent murders.
  20. Killing an important highprince so shortly after stopping a threat that should have united them was bad enough. A murder committed immediately after accepting an offer of peace though, constituted a broken oath. While more violence wasn't necessarily the answer, it was clear that an oathbreaker could not be trusted to create a treaty. Venli would have to go.
  21. Jezrien was ... alive somehow. The fabrial and the perfect gemstone had done their work before Jezrien's physical form could be destroyed. With the Unmade gone, he felt only exhaustion. Death would have been expected, even preferable, so long as the threat had been properly vanquished. Yet Jezrien continued to exist, while the threat persisted. Yelig-nar was safely contained until the next foolish mortal attempted to unleash its power, but the Desolation still approached. Nale argued for the emerging Radiants to be hunted down and executed, but surely the release of Yelig-nar had not been precipitated by human surgebinders. All Jezrien could think to do was to ensure the imprisoned Unmade was taken far away from those who would misuse it.
  22. The cycle countdown ended nine minutes ago, so I suppose we all just die now.
  23. This is my job, Brightness. I may only hope that my death will distract Yelig-nar long enough for the rest of you to entrap him.
  24. This was what Taln had always done; standing in front of the direst of foes and refusing to back down. He almost always died as a result, but he always managed to slow down the enemies, whether Unmade, Thunderclasts, armies of Voidbringers, or any of the other forces the Lord of Hate had at his disposal. Taln wasn't here now. That was Jezrien's fault, and it was his responsibility to stand in for Taln. This was his duty; the sole purpose of his existence. Jezrien interposed himself between Navani's fabrial and Yelig-nar, then began to walk towards the darkness. He hoped his death would be quick. Soon, he would be able to apologize to Taln in person.
  25. The presence of the Unmade bore down upon Jezrien, rendering him nauseous. If he felt this way, surely Kalak would be in even worse shape. The mere presence of the Thrill twisted Jezrien's insides, so surely an actively hostile Yelig-nar would incapacitate Kalak entirely. Even as Jezrien leaned against a wall to steady himself though, he saw Kalak run to intercept Nale. If his fellow Heralds could function, it was Jezrien's duty to protect them. Pushing himself off the wall, Jezrien instinctively reached for his Honourblade. It felt closer to him than it had in years, but of course it didn't come. Jezrien had made his choice years ago to relinquish his Blade, knowing perfectly well what it would cost him. Now, he was helpless before the very threat he had sworn to protect humanity from. No! Not helpless, he yelled at himself. He was the Herald of Leadership, and one of the few people in the room who had ever fought an Unmade. There must be something he could do. Jezrien well remembered what a mortal holding that kind of power could do if Yelig-nar were given the chance to adapt. The Unmade's next host would not be so easily dispatched. What were their assets? Elhokar, Dalinar, Tearim, and Adolin all had dead Blades. Nale still possessed his Honourblade. Jasnah, that was no dead Blade she held. Was that his? No, he realized upon observing her Soulcast a spoon to smoke. That was not his power. Had the Radiants somehow returned? Jezrien shook himself out of that thought. No time to ponder that now. Whether a Radiant or wielder of an Honourblade, she would be no match for Yelig-nar's power by herself. Even if all the Shardbearers together could destroy Yelig-nar's hosts, they could not hope to defeat him again without a suitable prison. Jezrien had a clear mental image of the gemstone used to capture Yelig-nar the first time, but there was a hole in his memory regarding the location of the gemstone. Perhaps Kelek, Nale, or Ash would know. Jezrien walked towards them.
