  1. But the whole thing with the gambit is that the Spiked know too much. Unless you're suggesting that the GMs would actually end the game in a tie like that. Has that sort of thing happened before?
  2. I can see that response coming from a Spiked perspective.
  3. Isn't this the kind of thing that would be easy to fake though? I guess I'll have to take your word about Penguin's ID, though I disagree that in general they're village. Guess that's another reread I need to do.
  4. I feel more strongly about Penguin being a Spiked than Alb, who, as I said before, just seemed wishy-washy. Is there something I missed? I will say that I'm more comfortable with Cham being village now. I guess I need to relook at Beagle since I was thinking at least one of the two was Spiked.
  5. I'm kicking myself about not unvoting Ostrich, having seen that the game is still going. Should have realized that a Spiked who has given up on the game probably wouldn't backtrack on revealing themselves.
  6. I think I'll vote for Ostrich. Sorry that your team went inactive, I was having fun. I think I'll stick around and try more of these.
  7. Is 8 pages of posts considered quiet? Because the volume is still quite overwhelming to me.
  8. For the most part I haven't been trying to work out specific connections between players, with this many players alive that seems beyond me. I independently found the two of you suspicious. Perhaps if one of the two of you is confirmed Spiked I'll reconsider about the other.
  9. I was still figuring things out by then and hadn't realized that claiming could turn out badly.
  10. A lot of the D1 stuff from Albatross felt wishy-washy to me. Even this: doesn't really seem to say a lot. Of course, I have been pretty slow to engage with the game as well, but I more get the feeling that Alb is reading a lot, knows that they need to say something, and is just unwilling to commit. That trend kinda continues for the rest of the game. I think Alb might be Spiked, after briefly rereading everything. Sorry, you implied you'd be happy to join a vote on them right near the start of the cycle, even though you didn't vote. I think one of Cham/Beagle is Spiked, and one or both of Penguin/Alb are Spiked. I think you (Iguana), Zebra, Heron, Meerkat, and Ostrich are village. And Lion, though I can't quite remember why. Which means that I don't have thoughts on Kanga and Scorpion, of the other people that have posted this page. Would probably execute Scorpion over Kanga if I had to make a call this instant, for the Hyena vote. But they probably have more relevant stuff that I haven't really read yet. Anyone else is a blank spot in my mind.
  11. I'm not sure where you get 8 lives from, but this doesn't seem to odd to me. You might know better than me how to expect the roles to be distributed. I'm also not sure where I assume that there would be 2 Thugs. If you look at who I voted on, it was Beagle, not you. I'll also note that I have literally no idea who anyone is. So please refrain from trying to use that as a way to convince me of something. You could just as easily be lying/faking that sort of thing, so far as I would know.
  12. Seems like a decent place to start is with reactions to Vulture surviving the first attack. We have: Zebra seems pretty obviously village Heron brings up the possibility of a WGG, which seems more of a village-aligned thing to do Ostrich voted Vulture, and it sounds like this is continuation of a PM with Mouse. Very village. Penguin's post here: seems off to me. It seems to kinda defend Vulture while going after someone that, at the time, it seems people thought had been scanned. I don't quite understand this post coming from a village perspective. This post from Beagle seems suspicious to me: They both village read Vulture and push to execute either Chameleon or the Seeker. If Cham is village, then a Spiked Beagle knows that these are both village exes. And if Cham is village, they are likely honest about being a Thug, so this just wastes an execution. But if Cham is Spiked then this On the flip side, the only reason we think Cham is a Thug is because they claimed it. The fact that the claim also happened in PMs D1 doesn't really add credibility, since a Spiked can easily pick a role to fake having and then just be consistent with that fake-claim. Since Cham derailed much of the discussion during D3, I'm inclined to think one of Cham/Beagle is a Spiked, and that they aren't on a team. Gonna vote Beagle for now. Later in D3 they double-down on not wanting to vote Vulture, and they fit into my guess about a Spiked voting early on Hyena during D2 as well.
  13. Wow, I need to figure this thing out quick or the game is going to win itself without me. School stuff is close to wrapping up for the week so I’ll see if I can at least give gut level opinions about everyone that’s still alive in time to discuss with everyone. But it’s late now and sleep is good.
  14. If it helps, I don’t know any IDs. It is nice to see that the inactivity deaths leaned in our favor, if only slightly. I’m trying to put myself in the head of the Spiked, and if they have a Soother, I think they would use it in any close vote where the lower voted player isn’t also a Spiked. In other words, the missing vote doesn’t say anything in and of itself about Vulture’s alignment.
  15. Alright, while I still think that there’s something to be gleaned from the day 2 votes, I’m going to unvote Scorpion because it seems like Chameleon cannibalized the entire thread by lying, and set things up so that we wouldn’t want to vote for them. But that reasoning is based on claims that we have no backing for. I read some of Heron’s recent posts and I don’t really know what people find suspicious. Was there something from D1 that I missed?
  16. It's not exactly about being wrong, since I voted on Hyena as well. My thought is more that an effective team of Spiked would likely want to bring up Hyena early in the day to draw attention to them. That way the Spiked don't have to worry about getting caught with one of their members leading the vote.
  17. I guess I'll switch my vote from Beagle to Scorpion. I do think one of the early voters on Hyena has a decent chance of being an eliminator.
  18. I will vote Beagle. My thought is the Spiked would want to draw attention back to Hyena without being too obvious about it, which kinda fits Beagle's first post. Scorpion is in a similar boat, though their vote didn't seem like it was geared toward getting other people to vote alongside them.
  19. Traveling’s done. Should be a bit more engaged, though likely no less confused. Can someone tell me what they find suspicious about Meerkat? I’m still confused about some of the things they said on the first day, but I found their reaction to being challenged on day 2 to be genuine. I think if I was spiked and someone said I wasn’t acting like a villager, I’d respond differently.
  20. Isn't voting how the game is played? We vote each turn to try and catch the Spiked. I actually feel kind of bad that I haven't voted this turn, but RL has got to come first. I'll vote as a placeholder on Hyena. I haven't really read the end of the first day but I know Hyena was up to get killed and didn't die.
  21. Something about this reaction makes me think you are village. Maybe because a Spiked wouldn’t react quite so strongly? I stopped my smoking during D1 since I thought it could help us understand the spread of roles, which I guess it kind of did. I’m nowhere near having a guess for absolutely every single player’s alignment, and honestly don’t know who I would vote for now. Maybe if I get time I’ll look at Flamingo’s posts since someone mentioned them in one of my PMs.
  22. I'm traveling, so my lurking is kinda forced right now. Not my intention and I'll try and join the conversation later in the turn.
  23. I did place my vote on someone suspicious. I'm pretty lost, so I'm just going with my surface-level reactions to people. I'm also not sure what the connection is between a Loyalist and not wanting enemies, but if there is one Salmon seems like the person that should be making that argument. I'll add that it seems extra suspicious that Salmon voted on me in retaliation and with no reasoning.
