  1. How common is it for someone to have no role at all?
  2. Ophelia looked up from where she had been trying to figure out what Finch's "doodads" were, so she could avoid them. Three attacks in the night, and two people saved? That was impressive. The Adonalsium person was dead, though - well, one of them was. They had been ... characterful, to say the least. And then they'd been a saboteur. That was a shame. I feel like one of the best strategies to avoid suspicion appears to be posting little, which I realise probably incriminates me. Nonetheless, an observation I had. Ophelia went back to petting the stray cat.
  3. My post was more a change in suspicion than a vote, but I formatted that terribly. Sapphire Elephant was a poke vote on my behalf earlier and I wanted to withdraw that. I'll admit it wasn't the smartest idea. Other than that, I may just be very confused.
  4. Ophelia frowned. Was it still the same Adonalsium? She put down the spanner she'd been fixing a table with and got up. Calling a gathering when there were known saboteurs - well, unknown saboteurs, but never mind - on board was perhaps a risky idea, but if she went in and hid near the back, she could learn something. She stopped petting the small dog - whose idea had it been to bring it, again? - and made her way to the Mess Hall, fuelled largely by curiosity.
  5. Ophelia had not been anticipating a sabotage, though perhaps she should've. She had been sent to take stock of the fuel supplies in the aftermath of the attack, so she now paced down the corridor, clutching a clipboard. Sabotage was a thing of the old days; of the times before even the Catacendre. She frowned as the announcement came on. Adonalsium? Not again. Well, there was no way to know, not until the imposters did something to give themselves away. Sapphire Elephant With a shrug, Ophelia went back to watering Vulture's houseplants. Someone had to care for them now.
  6. Sunburst Toucan doesn't like all the sudden attention on Tuatara. Something feels off. Everything else seems to points towards Axolotl as a fine candidate.
  7. I believe that Salmon Meerkat and Cream Tuatara are the most likely to succeed.
  8. I did suspect it to be a lie, however I wanted to steer clear of any IKYKs so I went for Ostrich instead, because vote manipulation would have posed serious problems. If I’d known for certain that you had rolled a non-protect metal, I’d have gone for you over Ostrich since you rolling pewter/iron next cycle would have been equally damning. Additionally, while I did think it odd that Swan just magically knew you had Steel last cycle, I discarded the idea of you having used a code since that was not allowed in previous AGs. I should have clarified with the GMs here in any case, not that it would have made a difference.
  9. Good game, village! Sorry, team, wish I could have pulled through. It was fun working with you though. Good work, Swan. May the village win streak not end for another six years. Avil Ejir out.
  10. I cannot possibly defend myself against that argument, but I will say I dropped several activity warnings. I will also say that as an eliminator, I do not have much reason to fake claim CS to Weasel because what does that get me? An eliminator trying that only gets them suspicion because it can easily be interpreted as phishing for the real coinshot. The only player who knew about that gambit was Meerkat, and the eliminators offed him the very same turn. Were I an eliminator, I would not have immediately killed him since I would have liked someone to back me up when the gambit came to light. This gambit is not at all viable for an eliminator simply because it is not worth the risk of it exploding in your face. I will add that I do not think I would have gone after the village Tineyes first, but rather the Mistborn and the Coinshot as they are considerably more volatile roles. Add the fact that I was never actually told Hyena’s role, nor that the last tineye was part of trust group. Hence I could not have used PoE to get Hyena’s role. That is all I have to offer as defense, so coinshoot me if you must, but I will suggest you execute Falcon in the day turn, as I am starting to feel better about Chameleon.
  11. [I agree that Flamingo and Scorpion piling onto Chameleon does make it considerably harder to buy an E!Chameleon world. Chameleon could be another E!thug, perhaps, however that still does not explain why they chose to prioritize Lion over Chameleon, especially considering the heat Lion had already been receiving. Chameleon being a vanilla eliminator is a tiny bit more believable. Swan cannot be an eliminator because one cannot submit multiple orders in a turn, and if they are not the coinshot they would have been outed while PMs were open. Sapphire Elephant it is.]
  12. [@Coral Swan did Elephant know you would be protected during the turn the Spiked attacked you? Edit: Some already know, but might as well clarify that I do not have a role.]
  13. Avil felt uncomfortable with the line of defense VarLeel [Magenta Albatross] seemed to be presenting. [OOC: Albatross leaning into the ‘I always have odd takes’ argument, which essentially does not leave room for further engagement with the argument]. Additionally, Avil believed that the previous night’s discussion could have possibly prompted the orphan boy [Scorpion] to protect another accomplice such as VarLeel over himself, if he indeed believed VarLeel to be under the threat of an attack. [OOC: Having gotten the chance to properly read last turn, this does not seem too unlikely, as Albatross was brought under explicit suspicion. Falcon has also presented some substantial points.] Ivory Dragonfly
  14. [Apologies for the minimal activity, I am still quite busy and traveling. Ivory Dragonfly seems like a reasonable vote, especially considering the lack of Lurch from Scorpion. Hopefully this is the last eliminator.]
  15. [OOC: Since Scorpion was likely responsible for Lurching Lion last cycle, why did they not self-protect last night?]
  16. Avil suddenly had way too many errands to run. Where had these responsibilities come from? He was unemployed and lived alone. He reached the town square, took a moment to catch his breath and quickly made his point. Guy [Opal Lion] would be put up for trial next. [OOC: Lion’s claim is pretty much the oldest trick in the book, meant to stall for time. I do not understand why Scorpion is voting for their teammate Penguin, however I might just be wrong about Penguin. Or Scorpion. However, Lion’s flip will surely have a bearing on Scorpion’s.]
  17. [OOC: For the sake of opsec, I not wish to disclose more than what Rhino has already revealed but suffice to say that I can confirm that Coral Swan has been dishonest enough that it has gone past the point of it apparently being beneficial to the village. They seem to be pulling out dubious justifications now, however it is odd that they could not provide such explanations to at the very least the confirmed village players before this. Hence, I can get behind a Coral Swan coinshot kill.]
  18. It was clear to Avil that Agolac was either entirely too frustrated as an innocent resident for further engagement, or that he was simply guilty of the murders and wanted to keep information disclosure at a minimum. The latter seemed more likely, but the former was not impossible. Either way, his silence could easily be explained and Avil was not surprised. Fair warning that I have a 9-hour flight to catch later today and will likely have limited internet access thereafter. I will try to keep up with the game as best I can.
  19. [OOC: I want to give Dragonfly village points for their D1 vote. I see Meerkat's argument, but I suspect an eliminator to handle that with more grace. They are, however, a suspect still, because the aforementioned point is weak as it is mainly intuition-based, and my vote analysis from earlier placed them in several PoEs. As an aside, I suspect they might be attempting to pocket me. For Falcon, some of it is lingering suspicion off them being the D2 counter wagon, and some of it is them subtly defending Flamingo D2. However, I do recall them voting Flamingo D3. I still need to give that cycle a thorough look as I have yet to do that, but the placement of said vote including timing and state of counter wagons will likely influence this read. I suppose I can quickly examine that one vote. Flamingo (4): Swan, Scorpion, Mouse, Falcon Chameleon(2): Toucan, Rhino Dragonfly(2): Chameleon, Hyena Lion(2): Crocodile, Meerkat Swan(1): Flamingo Looking at the state of the votes here, Falcon’s vote occurred when Chameleon, Dragonfly and Lion were all viable options. So unless every player there is an eliminator with Falcon, Falcon’s vote actually looks quite good. My initial impression was that they might have decided to bus Flamingo but examining this now, I think that the other wagons were all feasible outs and the sentiments had not been solidified. So perhaps Falcon moves down, and I will also note that Elephant should belong in the second tier, or possibly in a new tier between the second and third.]
  20. As Aylia spoke, Avil felt a sudden pang of estrangement exuding off her. It was almost as if her soul had been swapped for another. But curiously enough, she had been arguing in favor of Agloac [Flamingo], who seemed to be edging closer towards devilish immortality by the day. VarLeel [Albatross] seemed to be of similar mind. What bothered Avil more than their dissent with regards to the case of Agolac was the fact that they did not seem to be offering any alternatives either. Were they waiting for someone else to step in with ideas? [OOC: Put yourselves in the elim team's shoes and ask yourselves if you would waste this many night actions preventing a village flip. A village flip, which fundamentally gets the eliminators closer to their win condition every time. A WBG can be played, but not to this extent, because actions economy is real and the elim team cannot assume that at any given night, a village Mistborn will not roll steel and attack an eliminator, even if the coinshot is busy with V!Flamingo. They are better off using their resources on their own, hence E!Flamingo. However, I am curious as to why @Magenta Albatross and Hyena are not putting forward other reads or suspicions if they truly believe we are wasting time with Flamingo. I understand that Hyena has just subbed in but who do you think the eliminators are, Albatross?] Avil grabbed his notebook and made a quick note, before he'd forget:
  21. [You could very well be E!Mistborn, having pulled Pewter C3, and iron last cycle]
  22. Avil Ejir watched as the Obli-gator was led to the execution platform, a sense of relief and justice settling over the crowd. The Obli-gator had been well hidden, but the Seeker had been able to uncover his crimes with excellent precision and bring them to light for all to see. The execution was swift and mostly uncontested, a clear sign that justice was being served. It was a much-needed confidence boost for the town, which had been struggling to cope with the fear and uncertainty brought on by the murders being committed by the Spiked. As the Obli-gator's lifeless body was taken away, Avil couldn't help but feel a sense of hope and optimism. It was a good day, and he hoped that the orphan boy Scop had planned an after-party. [OOC: We have had an instance in the recent past where the scan result was announced by an eliminator, having no choice but to comply once they were asked to do so. Hence, the bearer of the news should not be given village cred for simply doing just that. That said, my preexisting V!Mouse credences persist.]
  23. Agolac [Onyx Flamingo] seemed to have quite a way with evading death, but the Obli-gator [Mauve Crocodile] execution must be solidified. If this was false news, the Seeker will surely face execution. [OOC: I think seeking Crocodile over Lion/Flamingo can be explained by the latter group’s anticipated deaths via coinshot. Permanent seeker scan was likely expected, thus scanning them would have been a waste if they did die in the night.]
