Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Fuchsia Ostrich replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
We had been planning to cooperate on an action. During rollover, it was initially missed, and so he thought I had been lying about something major about myself. So he voted on me. After a little bit, we figured it out, so he removed his vote, because the mistake was resolved. The shardblade was in there just for RP/LOTR purposes. The anonymous message suggests that it may be someone else attempting to find out who the first killer was, and is trying to kill them now. At first I thought that meant the killer was different, but That can't be because, unless the person has 2 actions, they can't send an anonymous message, and an attack at me. So I agree, it's either the same killer, but now we're going to have 2 running around, OR, it's a different killer, and we're going to have 3 killers running around now. Either way, scary.- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Fuchsia Ostrich replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Responding to Klade and Venli, Jasnah decided it was time to explain more about the Alethi people, their history, culture and religion. She explained how her father had united the 10 highprinces through conquest, but had since turned away from conquest to a more diplomatic approach, how he seemed to be very interested in not only the parshendi, but the advances of many types of fabrials, and how he was constantly discussing such things with the other highprinces and the ardents. She explained how the Vorin culture believed that the better you fulfilled your mission here, the more likely it was that you would be able to keep fighting in the tranqueline halls. "... I know that there are people at work here, who do not want the unity of Alethi and parshendi, or parshendi with any people for that sake, but our goal is to overcome them, and hopefully create a more stable nation. Tell me a bit of your history, and beliefs."- 1062 replies

Fuchsia Ostrich replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, I was protected! If my protector could reach out to me in PM, that would be muchly appreciated. Also, If my attacker could do the same, that'd be great! But for some reason, I don't think my attacker will reach out to me. Also, if there is any type of hint in the write-up, it suggests that I was not attacked by a shardbow. Because the object was thrown. Also, I'm offended to be referred to as a guest, when the dinner is being held in my family's house. But rarely are there hints in the write-up. So that's probably not it.- 1062 replies

As Klade began speaking with Jasnah, Venli approached as well. "Klade, Venli, I am doing well. I hope you can see past this crazy night, as Alethi politics are about more than just murder and espionage. We actually do have a very complex, versatile political system, that is usually very stable. Surely in your people's history there are examples of contentions and strife among the ruling class?"- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Fuchsia Ostrich replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"If we really want to discover who is at fault for the murder of Thaidakar, perhaps it would be good for us to discuss what we know of Thaidakar, and his actions tonight. Many of you may know that a bit over an hour ago, I was involved in helping others locate a black sphere. I do not yet know of any true purpose for the black sphere, but I do know Thaidakar was also searching for it recently. He reached out to me for information, and promised help in return. Unfortunately, His chance to return the deed has been cut short. But perhaps, knowing that he was looking for this object will help us know what happened to him." Jasnah reported loudly to all who would listen. After a moment of silence, she added. "Since that time, I believe the black sphere has been passed around multiple times anyways, and I no longer know where it is. But if it is important to you, please reach out to me personally, and I can provide you more information regarding it's past locations." After she finished, she collected herself, and turned to discuss more with the Parshendi. She genuinely had interest in their culture, but the events of the night kept interrupting her.- 1062 replies

Fuchsia Ostrich replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So, um are these spheres an actual in-game effect? or is it just a mechanic your Character came up with to be a hub for object trading? Why can't I just reach out to the other person and ask them for a favor in return for something they might actually use? Ok. So if you can transfer up to 2 items per half hour, that means there might be another person in on this with you, right? So we would possibly need to transfer the item to that person instead. I do see a benefit of doing this, because now if anyone does need to find an object, they would have a place to go to search for first. But I still think that these spheres will do us the most good, if we want to negotiate with you. So it's for real, but is it something you've come up with this, or is it officially sanctioned by Honor and Odium?(GMs)- 1062 replies

Based on PMs, I think it's because he didn't receive help on something that I promised to him, but on my end it says the action was successful.- 1062 replies

"Yes, brother, timespren are what make these fabrials. The difficulty is in the obtaining the timespren, as they rarely ever manifest themselves. I would go into more detail, but I'm afraid I don't think you'd understand. "And, unfortunately, they don't work as we had hoped. They were supposed to slow down everyone except the user. Instead, they merely slow down the passing of time, but no one actually slows down. Also, one of the chulls took them. Unless we find the timespren soon, this will be a long night."- 1062 replies

"Eshonai, is it? How are you this evening?" Jasnah said as she approached the first of the Parshendi. "The reason i've come over here is actually to ask if any of the Parshendi have good enough eyes with their different forms to see whatever was up in the rafters? But I'd also like to apologize for all that has gone on here. Alethkar really is a united kingdom, United just recently under Gavilar himself, and we've had no issues of subterfuge up until now. While I do partially blame myself for inviting Liss, At the time I believed that I needed her expertise for a personal reason. However, it seems that someone has found out who Liss was, and is now using her to play some political game. "But, I sidetrack. Did you or anyone else happen to see what was in the rafters?"- 1062 replies

Jasnah tried to see who was in the rafters. All she could see was a shadowed figure. The figure disappeared. What the storms is that? some sort of spren? a magician? She thought? Time to see if anyone could get a better look. Turning, she approached the Parshendi. They seemed to each have different abilities, maybe one of them had exceptional sight. "Did any of you see what was up there?"- 1062 replies

"Ah yes, Hello!" Jasnah responded. "You must think us crazy after all of what has happened this evening, however, I must assure you, even though my father insists that this is typical of an Alethi feast, it has never gone this far out of control. I'm certain it won't happen again." Tell me, Venli, what do you think of Alethi Politics, apart from what you've seen tonight of course. And how do you compare that to your kind's politics?"- 1062 replies

"I will be honest with all of you, the reason Liss is here[canonically] is because I hired her to spy on Aesudan. I know that what she is up to is far beyond what I was paying for her to do, and, threatened the treaty with the parshendi. I have heard through private conversations that some people want to assassinate her, which is ironic, because that is her primary occupation. I would like to suggest instead that we just just her for a few minutes so all of us can calm down, then eventually allow her to return. Also, ninjad by Liss- 1062 replies

"Mother, would you like me to locate some anti-toxins for you? I know we have some around here that will help neutralize the alcohol a little" Jasnah said in a hushed tone as she walked up to Navani. Jasnah made it a rule to only drink wine in private, and stick to the lighter ones at that. She could not bear intoxication when there was so much to be observed. Instead she turned to grab a glass of pure, soulcasted water. "It looks like you've drinken too much, mother. I believe, from experience that a slight intoxication can enlighten some parts of the mind, however, too much makes the whole mind dull, and frankly, you usually keep up with the utterances of Wit, but right now, he may be able to talk circles around you."- 1062 replies

OOC: Alright guys, this is the first game I've ever played where no one is lynched in 2 cycles and no one is killed either. I've received multiple PM's from multiple people mentioning a kill, so I believe it's an option. That being the case, I think it's starting to be important to discuss some of the game mechanics to find out what's going on. I realize we all have secrets that we need to keep, but there is definitely stuff that I think we can all discuss. Perhaps something to discuss is whether you all think it's a free for all, or whether there are multiple factions, or whether it will end up being Elim/village by the end. Or we can discuss something generic about the Docs. I personally think I can name at least 6 docs that I've discovered from various parts. I am not sure about some of them actually existing though. Does anyone else have opinions about sharing some information, or what information would be good to share?- 1062 replies

"Thank you, Wit. I have been reclused away in my study for a while, however, I am well aware of the time, as my study has windows." Jasnah Retorted. "Though your wit is still as sharp as it has been in the past, you seem to need assistance in collecting information. The more information you have about someone, the more you can use your *cough* witty remarks. "I am now on my way to discuss with some of the parshendi, would you care to join me? Though I believe your attempt at wit may cause impediments in the conversation, I also believe that it may be beneficial to have you there, because I know you are a man of many distant travels, through what many would call realms unknown, and I believe that in a conversation with such an interesting species, this sort of knowledge and experience may outweigh the disadvantage of your quick tongue."- 1062 replies

After much time studying, Jasnah felt she had discovered enough about what had happened to her earlier that night. It was time to return to the festivities and learn more of the Parshendi. Entering the grand ballroom, she headed straight to where the majority of the Parshendi were seated to speak to whoever would give her the time of day.- 1062 replies

As Elhokar nodded to Jasnah, he took the opportunity to approach him. "Brother, I find it necessary that I visit the palace Library. There have been events this day that I want to find out more about. If anyone inquires as to my whereabouts, and you deem it to be important that I discuss something with them, do not send them to me. Instead, please send a servant to come find me, so that I may find and address them when I am able to find a break in my studies" After, Jasnah turned and slipped out of the Grand ballroom. As she passed through the corridors they became more and more empty. Why can people never stay in the designated location for the party? Jasnah wondered to herself, then hipocritically realized that she had also left the party. Bah! This house belongs to my family. I can go wherever I want, whenever I want. Entering the library, She had already planned out what to search out. In all her years of study, she had never found anything describing a sea of beads. Shadows however, were different. Misbehaving shadows had been documented as signs of being cursed. She would study misbehaving shadows, and their origins. Edit:- 1062 replies

Jasnah stepped aside, ignoring the present conversation, as she began noticing something no one else seemed to notice. Her shadow started acting slow and strange again. She stepped back for a moment and looked around. That same ebony figure she had seen earlier, when in the strange sea, was observing her from the shadows. Suddenly, Jasnah felt uneasy and anxious again. Stepping back into the circle, she again poised herself and continued on with the conversation. Thankfully, it was turning away from her to more important matters for the night. While mingling among the guests, Jasnah noticed the Shin man in white again. It appeared he was merely a servent of a foreign diplomat, who was attending this evening as well. So she rested her fears about Szeth Sapphire. ------- OOC: I didn't mention that last below the dashes is OOC, and everyone thought Jasnah was predicting the future. I was just doing that as a player, not a character, as a fun way to poke vote Szeth, who as of that time had failed to show up. I cannot predict the future.- 1062 replies
