You must not be a mother yourself. I don't think I could explain it so that you understand. It's a story for a very small audience. I am a mom my self and gosh, I just want to run away. Perhaps this story is to much of a Mary Sue........

cjhuitt- Thanks for the advice. The last one was hard to do because the main character is a cell phone that has become awakened by being hooked into a human brain. They die, like cell phones do, and then are charged back to life. What the human doesn't know is that when the cell phone was awakened it also created it's own religion where it believes in only being a slave to the human's brain for one lifetime, and then travels the universe the rest of their existence through an energy source that floats through space. The fact that the Main character is a cell phone is the big reveal in the end. I didn't want to say that in the story skeleton.

I enjoyed reading this. The scene's played out smoothly in my mind. I liked how most of the character descriptions where placed in a sentence about something else. It felt very natural. You could do the same with the Treasurer who interrupted Fen's dance. The duel scene was a good way to have something happening while Fen thought about the conflict with his wife. Maybe you could link the duel with his feelings about his wife a bit. It may help to blend the two emotions together. I am looking forward to the next chapter. Also, I just joined this group, so I didn't read the prologue. In my humble opinion, you could start with this chapter and not have the prologue.

When a woman runs into her X husband after several years being apart, they decide to both sell their bodies to Dose-Core for their children's financial future. But will they succeed when Dose-Core decides to torture them instead of lethal injection. When codex finally dies after a long life of administrative slavery, She decides to explore the universe with her only friend. But will she succeed when her master charges her back to life and is forced into slavery for another lifetime?

I fell asleep that night at the computer. It was late. Challenge accepted. I will post as soon as i can (most likely next week).

I am planning my Nano project right now. I'm totally with you on this. The novel planning posts from Jim Butcher sounds great. I love his stuff. I did nano last year for the first time and my outline saved my trash. I believe that good organization and outlining is key to success. It was so much fun last year and I plan to make it a part of my life every year. A thread here or on the nano site would be great! Let me know.

The most important thing I have learned is that it is an obtainable goal if you work hard enough.

I think she adds a much needed unique perspective to the group. NEVER LET HER GO!

This stinks. Does anyone else feel this way? Will he continue to do writing excuses? Will we ever see him again if he moves so far away? I messaged him on facebook to ask why and he said, why not? ARG!
